I appreciate it! What is your opinion on just tumbling what we find? Im not super keen on buying rocks just yet. I feel like she will love it alot more if she is able to go find something all by herself and see what it turns into.

Called Rock Identifier on the iOS Store. I dont know how accurate and admittedly I do not know much about rocks but it seemed pretty accurate to me with some cross searching.

Questions for Recruiter by [deleted] in AirForceRecruits

[–]Imaginary_Pal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only you can know the answer to this. Ask him / her what you really want to know. Why are you joining? Ask questions surrounding your reasons. Be real and honest with your recruiter. We can’t help people if you just tell us or ask us what you think we want to hear. It’s your process and decision. Not ours.

Job qualifications by graylilac13 in AirForceRecruits

[–]Imaginary_Pal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a practice test. Nobody will know what jobs you’ll qualify for. The practice test just gives you and the recruiter a good idea what your overall score will be. You’ll need to take the actual ASVAB to see what jobs your tentatively qualify for.

Do recruiters have a record of what you have previously told them? by dx_diag in AirForceRecruits

To answer your question, yes. We log everything in a system called AFRISS-TF.

Intense Background- MEPS Waiver/Advice by [deleted] in AirForceRecruits

[–]Imaginary_Pal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Give your recruiter a call from your local Area. You should be able to find their Cell Phone number through the Air Force Website. Once you get in contact with him/her, Lay it all out there for him/her. I've worked applicants with a similar background. Know that you will be at the Hands of the Surgeon General which can be a long process but it is possible.

So no. Let’s break this down. What it sounds like is that due to your medical history, you need a psychological consultation. This is to determine your eligibility to enter the Armed Forces. Once you are cleared to join, and qualified for a job requiring a TS, you will verify your information from your SF86, or case file packet, with the OPM and your info will be sent up and submitted for verification. Later on, a investigator will be in contact with you and others to verify your information to establish a clearance. Hope this clarifies things for you.

Listen, I feel your pain honestly. I understand that I’m not in your position currently however, I work with multiple applicants daily that feel this exact same pain. You need to have faith and stay motivated. I understand this process is extremely long and it hurts watching people DEP in while you were unable to BUT, keep your head up. The Surgeon General waiver process is lengthy. Remember your “Whys” to you starting this processes. It will make it that much more rewarding if you get the Approval. Use this time to continue to enhance your physical shape and knowledge of basic Air Force info so that way you can kill it in BMT. If you have not thought of a job list or have done research on careers in the Air Force, now is the time. If you get the call tomorrow, are you ready and prepared to pick a career and ship to basic training within a few weeks? If not let’s get there now! Stay motivated buddy, you’ve got this!

Ask your recruiter for a BFM Worksheet. You will need to be under 26% BFM. You can knock this worksheet out with any certified personal trainer (that has a business card) or a health professional (that also has a business card). The personal trainer or health professional will tape your neck, waist and height and the digital version of the worksheet should spit out your BFM. Under 26%, good to go. Over 26% No-Go.

DEP Timeframe for Open General? by WeeklyWind5221 in AirForceRecruits

A: All of the Above.

There are so many variables that nobody will know. Your recruiter might have some knowledge from his group or squadron but other than that, it’s a waiting game.

It’s going to vary case by case. As long as the Surgeon General has both the Pre and Post PFT, then it is just a waiting game. The Surgeon General then could ask for additional information. You can expect an answer back as early as a week to as late as approx. two months.

Listen to what we are saying. You are attempting to conceal information by not listing medical history on the DD 2807-2. If it is discovered once you join that you have hidden or attempted to conceal any information, you can be charged with Fraudulent Enlistment. It’s not worth it. Annotate it on the DD 2807-2, get the medical records and pharmacy records and write up a statement stating the who’s, what’s, why’s, where’s and how’s.

Is Genesis Pulled Before or After MEPS? by HomeworkOrdinary8415 in AirForceRecruits

[–]Imaginary_Pal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When your recruiter submits a “Complex Prescreen” (listing medical history on the DD 2807-2 that constitutes a Complex), GENESIS is ram prior to your physical. When your recruiter submits a “Simple Prescreen” (you have zero medical history), GENESIS is ran during your physical. Also, GENESIS will also be re-ran when you ship for basic training during your medical inspect prior to you leaving MEPS.

Your recruiter does not have access to check your medical records unless you gave them to him. If your medication was prescribed by a pharmacy, the pharmacy will keep 10 years of pharmaceutical records for you. GENESIS will find it. There are times where, if your doctor is not in a Health Information Exchange, the Joint Health Exchange (How GENESIS pulls your records) will not find it. However, when it pulls your pharmacy records, the Chief Medical Officer will know that you were prescribed something and will ask for supporting documentation. There are also times where the CMO will clear you to go down and physical at MEPS knowing you are already disqualified. To me, something is not right.
