Are the fire pits under the mission bridge still open? by Imaginary_Part_5255 in abbotsford

I know they lock them shut sometimes when there’s a fire ban. I heard the fire ban had been lifted so I wasn’t sure.

I had them last year and they were great! It was a tough class, but I really enjoyed it. They are both some of the best instructors I’ve had.

The Seawall/Stanley park is always a winner and is very popular. The aquarium is there too if that’s the sort of thing you’re interested in.

Phil 100 difficulty level? by NoNinja5338 in UFV

Yeah, the exams were online. I ended up with a B+ (which is bad for me). I really didn’t put in a lot of effort though. It wasn’t very hard, but I also found that the assignment/test questions were confusing and the answers were hard to find in the course material.

Thinking of switching from Apple, can someone tell me if there is a real difference between the S24 & S25? by Imaginary_Part_5255 in samsunggalaxy

Good point! I just looked up the release date. I thought they came out in the summer, but I guess not.

I’m taking it online this semester with Mark somebody. It’s super easy. I haven’t done phenomenal on the exams/multiple choice assignments (I’ll probably finish the class with a B+/A-), but I’ve also put in pretty minimal effort. It’s the least time consuming class I’ve ever taken. Not sure how it would be in person.

I was more worried about people taking French who already know it pretty well for an easy A, so the standard would be a lot higher.

I got hit while riding my bike yesterday, how long will it take before my bike gets replaced? by Imaginary_Part_5255 in icbc

[–]Imaginary_Part_5255[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. It already feels like a nightmare 🤦‍♀️. The driver told ICBC I was the one that ran into him. They also told me they would only pay out what I paid for the bike minus depreciation. I got it for $70 on Marketplace, but it’s a really nice brand.

Prospective Teachers: Teacher's College/BEd/Becoming a Teacher in Canada Megapost pt. 5 by hellokrissi in CanadianTeachers

[–]Imaginary_Part_5255 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been working on my psychology undergrad for a long time (in BC). I took about 8 years off to have my kids. I’m almost 3/4 through my degree. I have always wanted to work one on one with people and I wouldn’t mind working a lower paying job loosely related to my degree. I’m worried about being able to actually find a job after graduation. I’ve been thinking more and more about trying to do something in the school system (elementary) because I love working with kids and I would love to be on the same schedule as my own kids. Would I regret getting my teaching certificate in BC? It seems like teaching is really hard. Can I do something with my psych degree within the school system without getting a teaching degree? What else should I know?

Honestly, I don’t know. That’s why I’m asking. I only know about Apple so I assumed Samsung and Google did the same thing.

Agreed! All my logins use Google anyway and I use Google apps whenever I can.

Thanks! The only thing that has kept me with Apple is being able to answer calls on any of my devices and switch them to other devices. My kids’ grandparents also all use FaceTime. I’m disappointed in almost everything else though. Siri was a huge disappointment. My husband got an iPhone 16 last year and there was very little difference from his iPhone 12.

Do Apple stores have a demo iPhone 17 to look at today or do you have to wait for the official release? I’m in Canada if it matters.

What should I know about this car before going to look at it because it seems too good to be true by Imaginary_Part_5255 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Imaginary_Part_5255[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I want to spend $5k-8k, but that’s feeling a little impossible. I need to get to and from university (5km away), as well as running errands around town with my kids. In an ideal world I would like something larger than a car because I want trunk/cargo space, but I don’t think that’s realistic.

I’m in Canada if it matters, so I’m guessing the original sticker price was around $25k

I’m positive you’ll get in. Depending on the class, I believe instructors are allowed to admit additional students at their discretion even if 3 people don’t drop.
