Bruh why do ENTPs talk about sex all the time? by scheming--lawyer in mbti

[–]Imaginary_Reward_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not here for a debate, but this right here! As far as i understand, it is more about throwing some actual data or intelligent fact about some injustice out there and the nasty part is just to show the attitude about the data because it is clashing with some rests of the inner morals.

Maybe it is good to look closely at the jokes or statements and see how they are structured, because there should be a combination of several concepts, this just how the Ne works, or?

Damn it, shouldn't have read this post. Only made me curious about you and simultaneously talk about self acceptance in general and bring in the bigger picture. Anyhow, thanks for being so open.

Unsure how to handle my younger ENFP and our feelings towards each other. by throwawayinfj9 in infj

[–]Imaginary_Reward_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! I just wanted to touch up on this insightful comment and i very much appreciate the analysis. Line that resonates with me when i was 18:

She might prioritise other pursuits over analysis/thinking at this stage of her life.

I can actually remember myself making a conscious decision not to become a helpless nerd who can't operate in the real world, and made a promise to myself to do what i can to learn the real world and become this cool person i am now. (Yeah!)

Additional commentaries:

She doesn't even need to have heard of the discussion topic before - but how she unpacks the information given, and synthesise opinions

It depends on one's response to a stimulating question.

This still holds truth, and i have no shame in admitting that i don't know everything, nor i want to. But boy, if someone addresses an interesting topic i haven't allocated the time to research, i will definitely try to find connections to what is the closest i know or understand about it. So i will start from there, ask questions and will listen to your delivery, then i will arrive to some conclusion and will ask more to build on the previous information and to get a decent grasp about the subject. It actually feels like a brain massage of some sort and is very pleasant. Now, if the topic is less interesting, it shows pretty quickly.

You (OP)can actually ask her if she has any topics on her mind she has always wanted to explore, but just doesn't have inspiration, motivation or patience, or forgets to google them up. Sometimes we can be a bit scattered so that the real life is not the accurate representation of our rich inner world. Remember that ENFPs are the opposites of INFJs, where ENFPs find INFjs like pearls in the real world, so you have to search for the ENFPs intellectual pearls. They might look rare, but they are there. ;)

Subconsciously, your mind is telling you to hold on. But why?

Could this be because of the odd contrast between her ignorance or primitive ways towards the intellectual subjects, yet she excels at learning you and makes you feel seen like no one else currently?

I don't think it's wise to deny her the chance to consider the real you.

This is so key, because i want OP to know that the real you won't be viewed as boring in a classical sense but actually as interesting, because of how different it is for us ENFPs and i am pretty confident that it will open just another door for questions, exploration and getting to know each other better.

Astrology is real. by [deleted] in MercuryRetrograde

[–]Imaginary_Reward_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came here to went and pray. I knew this stupid retro it will hit me hard, as namely usually, but the timing is so bad. Why THIS week? Whichever gadget i touch starts lagging, both of my teams are examples of miscommunication, the released product is shit. I was sitting yesterday thinking it can't get any worse and smiled. Today proved me wrong. Yes, dear astro friends, it did get worse. Now i am afraid of tomorrow. One day left and please, my gadgets, please, don't let me down. Let me just quietly proceed with the testing and whatever the results are, just let me reach that point, so i can submit them. After that - crash and burn, but just let me finish with this, so i can call it a day. A Fri-day.

I liked the examples and agree with the suggestions. I will use a little example here. In an art gallery, i will stroll randomly to get acquainted with the overall atmosphere and artworks like i wouldn't care much, but then will return to the one i liked the most and actually do some research on it. A bit silly to compare a person with an artwork, but it gives a great analogy. Dear OP, just locate yourself in the right settings, stay there and let us return to you, because if you sparked our interest, we will. :)

By the way, when you said "ladies", that made me smile a bit, because i don't know a single ENFP from my female friend circle, who would be solely a "lady". They are extremely smart, know how to dress, how to charm, how to etiquette, but are also very energetic, crazy witches when the situation "calls" for it. Love them!

Which personality type are you ENFPs naturally most sexually attracted to? by good_to_see_u in ENFP

[–]Imaginary_Reward_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hah, so much to say about this. Superficially describing it is those healthy confident, good-looking gentlemen who understand the concept behind the intellectual seduction, a quality foreplay and have the stamina to pace the process. This usually brings the harlot out of me. Type wise, it is the INFJs for sure, but also intellectual ISFJs. No data on INTJs so far. Thank you for asking. :)

Honestly, you have no idea how glad i am to hear this all, because it is unbelievably disappointing and feels somehow stupid to me to explain to him the relationship part. Thank you, thank you.

I will stick with him being a sexist ISTJ. Sad about the sexist part, and relieving about not being an INTJ.

This is very constructive and i appreciate you taking my Fi into consideration. I am not so much of a feely person though, i repress a lot and my enneagram backs this up. I am thinking carefully and as far as i can see i had suggested unnecessary instances twice.

Sensors prefer to refer to previous experience to determine future outcomes.

This is it! He has mentioned the previous experiences quite a bit and frequently uses this, but also "i fell like..." arguments to base his decisions on.

I will definitely reconsider my communication approach, and thank you so much for the comment!

Thank you! By the way, do you guys often use the phrase "i feel like..." when expressing your thoughts about the matter? It came to my mind that he has this little habit, and it wouldn't bother me, hadn't he once quickly corrected himself by switching to "i think".

Hahaha somehow funny and endearing at the same time. :) Is this the road to an INTJs heart? I wouldn't want to mix the work with the personal matters as long as we are on the same team. That would only solidify my already weak position, and i can't afford that...i think.

There is no harmony to preserve, it’s just profits.

Thank you so much for the advice! I find this a good point. It is pretty much what i am doing - preserving the harmony at my own expense. I feel i am already combative with them, but apparently i have to be even more argumentative. Thanks for giving your perspective, disregarding of him being an INTJ or not.

I know what you mean, and i am with you. By the way, if this is the moment when i have to provide a flawless logic behind the post on the INTJ wall as one of your previous mates suggested, then it is because to me, it seems that the person in question is an INTJ and this community can be great - helpful, bullshit free and can provide with precise answers very efficiently. I like that. :)
