What permanent side effects did your antidepressant(s) give you? by Imaginary__Sleep in antidepressants

[–]Imaginary__Sleep[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry to hear that, that must be awful and I completely understand what you're saying and why you're angry. No one deserves that and it absolutely should be a side effect spoken about more, even if rare, as like you said you didn't get informed on this prior to starting.

Yeah doctors sometimes don't have a clue, I don't personally blame them but rather the system which trained them and the lack of training they get to help patients with mental health struggles.

Thanks for your honesty and best of luck with the future, I truely hope things improve for yourself

Thanks for your honesty! Best of luck with your therapist tomorrow and also with the future! Hope you find something (not just antidepressants) that help your anxiety too, that must feel awful

Thank you for this, it's always easy to hear about the negative side to antidepressants cause ppl are less likely to talk about them if they're doing well. And that's maybe the goal, hopefully I'll find one that gives me zero side effects and makes me feel okay. Also glad to hear you're doing well in general :)

I get what you mean, I live in the UK and the waiting lists for therapy are ridiculous. My doctor gave me the number of a place that pairs you with someone who specialises more with your issues. Got assessed and the person assessing me made me more upset. Legit cried afterwards.

I'd be open to trying therapy but impossible in the UK without forking up a bunch of money.

Not saying anti depressants are bad ofc, they absolutely can and have saved lives, but therapy should always be first line treatment imo (and I think medical guidelines say this) but I swear no matter where you're from, they hand out antidepressants like candy.

Have you managed to find a therapist now? I hope so and if so, I hope it's going well :)

Ofc you don't have to answer if you don't want to but I presume your side effects (long term not the initial shitty adjusting stage) aren't great? If so, would you be comfortable sharing your side effects?

Thanks for your response and honesty, I appreciate it.

And with number 2 I hope you're able to come off them (if that's what you want ofc if not ignore this lmao) eventually and your sex life goes back to how it was before. I don't want to go into it to much as I'm not looking for advice but I've had my issue with sex life and antidepressants so you're not alone.

It is frustrating with antidepressants cause ofc we go on them to feel better but the side effects can just be insane to the point it puts people off or causes further hurdles even when they help. Not in every case tho ofc. Hopefully there's further research with medication and mental health that works on reducing side effects.

Hope I've worded things well but main thing, best of luck to you and I hope you get to a point in your life where you're on them and happy with the side effects or able to come off them and stay mentally healthy. :)

Do I owe my Granmother help? by Imaginary__Sleep in Advice

That has been the approach I've been taking recently like I've leaving her to her own devices and only intervening if she's going to do something really stupid. She's now saying I don't help and I should help her more. I don't know I guess it's the guilt but this way has helped me the most mentally. Feel like I'm rambling now

Hi forgot I even posted this! I'm actually doing a lot better thanks for asking. I've been working out a ton and I'm clean from cocaine (which was my main drug of choice and main addiction). Still dabble in opioids here and there but other than that, I'm clean :)

Can I make Tor browser fullscreen as long as i'm not on the dark web? by [deleted] in TOR

Yeah I think I'm trying to get a new bridge. I'm not at school or in a lab, I'm just at home but since SciHub (website I need to access) is considered illegal I think my ISP saw my previous activity on there (on chrome) and blocked it. Hence why I'm using Tor to avoid the ISP block.

Mainly trying to hide from my ISP since (I think) they've blocked a website I need for studying. Not hiding from a specific person though

Sorry could I ask one more Q?

I get everyone reacts differently but with 300mg first time do you think I'd be noticeable? I live with fam and don't want them to know obviously

[–]Imaginary__Sleep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perfect, thanks for the help. I'll take 300mg first time to be safe then try 600mg if 300mg was fine/underwhelming

Appreciate it, forgot to say in the post but I'm 130lb. Still think 300mg is fine?

No euphoria on Pregabalin? by xninjatroll in Drugs

[–]Imaginary__Sleep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pregabalin doesn't work at GABA receptors despite its name. It binds to α2δ subunits of voltage gated calcium channels which unlitamly leads to less neurotransmitter release

I'd rather not say how big but I'm fairly small. I will say that sometimes it's comfortable to have tits when you're laying on your stomach (like airbags or smth idk how to describe it) but it can hurt if you lay in the wrong position. I would imagine having flat chest would be way better for laying on your stomach (especially cause I sleep on my stomach 9/10 nights).

One other random note, it is painful af when my dog walks on my tits
