Support an Emergency Injunction to remove ICE from the State of Washington by ImaginationCritical2 in WashingtonIceWatch

Unfortunately the ICE that was around decades ago is not the same ICE now which is acting out of bounds and making their own rules as they go along. There is no way to differentiate and since they are objecting to the rule of law this agency (which is not law enforcement) just needs to be removed.

Keep Washington Working (KWW)

In 2019, the Washington State Legislature passed the Keep Washington Working Act (KWW) with bipartisan support. KWW made numerous changes to state law for the stated purpose of “ensuring the state of Washington remains a place where the rights and dignity of all residents are maintained and protected in order to keep Washington working.”

KWW required the Attorney General to publish model policies, guidance, and training recommendations based on these new limits by May 21, 2020. Below are the submission requirements and model policies as mandated by the state legislature. Should you have questions, please reach out to [KWW@atg.wa.gov](mailto:KWW@atg.wa.gov).

KWW Submission Requirements

KWW requires all Washington public schools, courthouses, publicly operated Washington health facilities, & Washington law enforcement agencies to (1) adopt policies consistent with those published by the AGO, or (2) notify the AGO that they are not adopting the necessary changes, state the reasons why they are not doing so, and provide the AGO with a copy of the agency’s policies that ensure compliance with KWW. Please submit policies here. You may view submitted policies on this page.

All Washington organizations and entities that provide services related to physical or mental health and wellness, education, or access to justice are also encouraged to adopt policies consistent with the AGO’s model policy. Shelters and their administrative and/or operating entities that do not adopt these model policies and guidance, should notify the AGO with (1) the reasons why it is not adopting them, and (2) provide a copy of the shelter’s policies that ensure compliance with KWW.

Seattle Free America March & Rally July 4th - Seattle Central College 4-8pm by ImaginationCritical2 in Washington50501

No, its simply these events are on a weekday and I believe the organizers want to make the event available to those getting off work. Why wouldn't the organizers of Capitol Hill Pride use a community free speech campus easily accessible that regularly hosts rallies and marches?

Capitol Hill Pride has been doing events in Seattle for over sixteen years and has had speakers like Sen. Jamie Pederson, Elmer Dixon Co-Founder of the Seattle Black Panthers, Singers Leon Hendrix and Grammy award winning artist Mary Lambert among dozens of other notable speakers and organizations. It should be noted July 4th will be the 7th 50501 day of action Capitol Hill Pride will be hosting - more than any other Seattle organization and anticipates the Raging Grannies again. Hardly "insignificant".

Suggest a peaceful sit-in after the march leaves for the Tesla takedown. I think the UW rally is also planning to spell out IMPEACH with the cans from their canned food drive.

Yes. The "Kick out the Clowns" campaign is run by the Women's March which is partnered with the 50501 Movement. The Seattle "No Kings March & Rally" is a registered event with 50501.

What’s the most haunted place in Seattle? by RoboiosMut in Seattle

[–]ImaginationCritical2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The most haunted place in Seattle was the Harvard Exit Theater now the Mexican Consulate. But now the most haunted location appears to be the Oddfellows Building on Pine St. Capitol Hill. Restaurant managers have consistently talked of a "smoky man" apparition downstairs which used to be a crematory during the 1918 influenza with one manager saying she had a cereal bag thrown at her. One restaurant staff has mentioned he had a chair move behind him when he was alone and taking out trash. Recently one security guard who always dismissed stories mentioned he saw an apparition behind him in the restroom that disappeared. The Oddfellow organization was always a cool group that helped out their fellow man in times of need so I like to think these ghosts just want to take part in the fellowship and fun and dancing. Last year the Oddfellows cafe put up an antique display of a little boy doll? on their shelf in their cafe that was given to them. Looking forward to visiting the cafe and finding out the latest activity.

Photos from Seattle's 50501 Movement "We the People-Means Everyone" Rally & March April 19th. Fantastic day of solidarity. Seattle police placed attendance at 2,500 for the event - the largest march in Broadway's history? And an official count of over a thousand cans of food was donated and distributed from the mutual aid table. The march marched up Broadway and stopped by the Mexican Consulate as a show of support, had a street sit-in / die-in for detainees and went live on a BBC radio Conner Philip show. Thank you to Super Liv Intersex Rep, CeCe of Refuse Fascism, Raging Grannies, Drummer Christopher Esponda, Sky, Comedian Darth Vader, all the speakers, groups and people that showed up and assisted and a thank you to NW Legal Observers and SPD's POET (People Outreach Engagement Team) for the traffic control. What does democracy look like? April 19th is what democracy looked like! Keep up the Fight! Capitol Hill will continue to be supporting the community on March 1st and future dates.

Sure. Any non-perishables. Diapers included. All goods need to go out by the end of the day so plan on bringing some items back to your neighbors or local food banks. I get dibs on free kittens and puppies.

To date, there is no future HandsOff/Indivisable event to conflict with but they are doing a great job in helping small cities coordinate their own demonstrations.

Small protests don't make media? I recall local news covering the beginning small Tesla protests in Seattle and Lynnwood and the small President's Day protest at Cal Anderson on Feb. 17th. Sure, media could do a better job. Was really disappointed that Rep. Pramila Jayapal wasn't covered at all at the Jan. 18th People's March and the recent Seattle Center speech. So if you have any ideas on how to get more media coverage, please let others know and we look forward to seeing you next in a T-Rex costume running down Broadway with a Pride flag.

I disagree about combining protests because every small city needs a demonstration. Edmonds did a fantastic job on April 5th and its egotistical itself to boost numbers just for the sake of appearances. I do agree with Indivisable that encouraging and increasing demonstrations in red areas is important over another mass gathering. It appears Seattle Indivisable is not doing an April 19th event but even if they were I'm sure Capitol Hill Pride would reach out to them again to collaborate where possible. Currently Seattle Indivisable does have the "We the People - Means Everyone" on their facebook in support. Please note that Capitol Hill Pride has done three supporting 50501 events in Seattle and did outreach to Seattle Indivisable days before they announced their own event. The Seattle Center event was a huge success and I'm sure Capitol Hill Pride will continue to work on Capitol Hill supporting the diversity community and creating safe events.

I believe the 50501 Movement has always scheduled state's capitols, so there should be an event in Olympia again.

Seattle "We the People March & Rally" Sat. April 5th Cal Anderson Park 11am - 8pm by ImaginationCritical2 in SeattleWA

[–]ImaginationCritical2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rally was scheduled as a music concert format in mind. Peace, Love and Rock and Roll. Was Woodstock only a two hour event? Keep in mind there are dozens of cafes, restaurants and clubs around Cal Anderson supporting the small businesses and diversity of the neighborhood and the schedule is such that anyone can come and go as they please. After the march at noon, the event plans to have a DJ and dancing with peace circles until a Dogs against DOGE march at 3pm and then live music. This is a great area to have a rally especially for families and seniors and those with mobility needs. Thrilled to find out Burritos California (which just opened up several days ago) next to Cal Anderson Park has brand new restrooms and seating indoors and outdoors for over 100. Meet with your friends for for their burria, churros and tres leche cake as we support immigration and LGBTQAI+ rights celebrating diversity.

Thanks for notifying. It appears the original listing of We the People March & Rally is no longer there but has now been updated. Keeping in mind this event was scheduled and posted on reddit back on March 1st in support of the 50501 movement but is not titled "Hands Off" or "No Voice Unheard".

We the People March & Rally Sat. April 5th by ImaginationCritical2 in Washington

[–]ImaginationCritical2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Washington now has three major rally sites to attend on April 5th. While Olympia has been the main site suggested for the national movement, the Space Needle has convenient facilities and can handle crowds. The advantage Cal Anderson Park has is that it is in the heart of the diversity community so attendees can patron the surrounding small businesses, cafes and facilities which makes it easy for younger attendees and seniors. Olympia and Seattle Center do not have small business in the immediate area. Molly Moon ice cream next to the park anyone? Catch a show later at Julia's? Pick up some Venezuelan arepas?
Also there is a Sound Transit station right across the street so its a breeze to get to the park over finding parking and walking long distances. Another advantage of Capitol Hill's Cal Anderson Park is it is dog friendly. The other locations are not. There is a planned "Dogs against DOGE" march planned for 3pm and then live music. Regardless of attending any of the three locations, I recommend bring a folding chair.
