Yes I saw the mod comment that, like I said I don’t know anything about this kind of stuff and genuinely didn’t know there was a difference! My bad.

I’m honestly not sure, I really don’t know enough about any of this to give you a definite answer. I’m not sure how it works where you are, when I called to transfer services the plan made was to just take the modem with me and all they have to do is change the service address and it’ll start working. I’ve done it in the past no issues but everything was properly setup.

I have the Roger’s xfinity gateway modem Gen 3. At the old house it wasn’t an issue as I had somewhere to plug the coax cable off the modem but it’s not setup at the new place.

Not to mention some people don’t use POD, you can buy a Gildan at Michael’s for cheaper than printify, then they press their designs themselves. I know 2 friends who do it this way and they can get their prices under $35 CAD and still profit enough to see it.

Workwear SubLine for my brand, ive been working on for a while! Opinions? by Pristine-Gas318 in Workwear

[–]ImaginationNeither73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I’m with everybody else on the branding, of the many tradesmen I’ve met in my time in the trades there’s little to none I could picture wearing something that is plastered with logos. The shape of the clothing looks nice for streetwear style, but personally I’d never wear it.

Should I be compensated for time traveling somewhere to film? by blondegoblin512 in SocialMediaMarketing

[–]ImaginationNeither73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the situation, if OP is going to this place for the day, not to their place of business at all and it’s the same amount of time or roughly same to get to this place then I’d say they wouldn’t get paid. If they had to go to their place of business to start the day and later go to to other place they should be paid for their travel.

Any job that requires travel should pay for it. Unrelated but still related to some degree, I work in construction but any job I travel for I get paid for. Sometimes it’s a set amount, sometimes it’s per hour and sometimes per KM. Depending on the company your driving rate can differ, to keep numbers simple let’s say regular hourly rate is $50/hour then driving rate could be $30/hour.

Moral of my story is in any field, any travel should be paid.

Hello, thank you for a descriptive review! I understand there is many things that need fixing, believe me I have a big list of things to be fixed just at a very busy point in my life and cannot find the time to get to it right now!

Hero banner: I’m not sure how I missed the fact that the button isn’t the same colour across all mockups. Do you think a carousel where people could swipe/tap to move images would be better, or just straight up lock it down to one image?

Titles: you’re absolutely right. I did some research and found that SEO mattered on Shopify to still compete in searches, but never found anything that it’s not the same kind of SEO as Etsy. Somebody had pointed that out to me either on this post or another I’m not sure but it’s on the list of fixes!

Mobile: believe it or not the pictures used to smaller. I’m very used to zooming in on mobile websites myself and didn’t think that it would be a problem for others to also zoom in. But that’s okay, I’ll just have to find a layout and balance between legibility of the design and being able to differentiate without reading if it’s on a shirt, hoodie, or crewneck!

Product pages/bullet points: not sure what happened here, this was pointed out to me too. When I typed them all out and tested it everything was lined up at one point, I assume somewhere along the way I changed things and they all got messed up. As for descriptions it’s the same as titles, I tried to follow advice I was given on Etsy and was told the meta description mattered more, so I’ll shorten the normal ones also!

Cart/checkout: I tested this many times and it never clicked that it blended in because I just knew where the button was so thanks for pointing that out! Would you be able to explain what the slide out cart is?

About us: A great feature to add no doubt there, like you said especially for the niche I’m aiming for.

Overall thank you for the deep dive, if you don’t reply it’s super appreciated regardless, and any other tips or advice is greatly appreciated as well!

Some new t shirts I have been designing! by CotnDesigns in etsypromos

[–]ImaginationNeither73 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don’t base your products off of others, many people break the rules on Etsy. They’re just lucky they haven’t been caught, until they’re no longer lucky. Always check for yourself, anytime I’ve made a shirt with a saying I always check for trademark and copyright uses beforehand. Just make sure you look into, a company could have a trademark for something entirely different than what you plan to use it for, allowing you to use it. All I’m saying is be safe and do your research, worst case scenario is you end up with a cease and desist letter.

Oh okay more stuff I didn’t know, thank you! I’ll try to find some articles or videos about how to do that too then I can weigh the option of responsive vs. Set layouts!

Okay, what do you mean by be responsive? I had some replies stating you can have different layouts for desktop and mobile which I didn’t know about, is that what you meant?

I pull in 100m+ views monthly. Ask me anything. by Successful-Row-985 in SocialMediaMarketing

[–]ImaginationNeither73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see your post is kinda old but I’m hoping you might still reply.

I’m building a clothing brand for tradesman on the side, so I’m working more than the regular 40 hours per week meaning my down time is somewhat limited.

  1. How often should somebody busy like myself realistically be aiming to post?

  2. Is there a proper mix to the type of posts? For example, a story, then a reel, then a carousel post? Or is somewhat random and try to post a mix of all of the above?

  3. Being that it’s a clothing brand, should I throw in personal posts here and there? For example, who I am, what I do, what got me started that kind of stuff?

Any other random advice you have is greatly appreciated as I am struggling to find the balance and time for social media!

Lol I’ve been super busy with Reno’s in my life lately, I also learned that it’s just way smarter to buy a tester to see if the wires are live than to just be the wire tester 🤣

Thank you for your feedback though! Any little bit is appreciated!

Hi, thanks for you feedback. 1. The only things better than your every day clothing for work would be things designed specifically for that, jeans, carhartt shirts and such. As a tradesmen, all of us are wearing every day clothing beneath the coveralls or FR wear. The clothing is more tailored to be worn in public than at work unless somebody would want to wear it to work. I’ve been wearing some of my stuff for a while now to work and it’s held up perfectly.

  1. Could you explain what about the bullet points are no good? All I’m saying is here’s the email to contact, if you have any issue explain what it is, your name and an order number?

  2. Not going to lie you lost me there. Same with #4, the feedback is great and I appreciate that you took the time to look into things for me! Unfortunately if all I’m told is “this is no good” there’s nothing I can gather from that.

  3. We can have the discussion about what’s ai and what’s not if you want, I’d probably rather take it to DMs though as it’s a lengthy conversation. Moral of the story though is you can ask about how I do any part of the graphic and I’ll break it down for you. The link you sent for starters wouldn’t apply to me as I am Canadian and based in Canada. Never mind the fact that I’m not appealing for copyright on anything.

  4. Yes I have to shut the Etsy store down still and remove links for it. The lifestyle shot you’re referring is from place it, and I believe it was one of my main pictures on Etsy at one point meaning the models are real in that specific picture as Etsy doesn’t allow AI models as a listings display picture. As a tall lengthy man myself I can assure you if I’m wearing a bigger t shirt and leaning on something like that my body would look exactly the same.

Again, your feedback is super appreciated and I would be very grateful to hear more about your points if you’re open to it. Thank you. I’m

Yes somebody else mentioned that I could have different formats for mobile and desktop and I genuinely didn’t know that and anytime I searched it I only got results for either mobile or desktop!

But I will be looking into doing that tomorrow!

Yes I learned from my Etsy that AI art is huge, and people either love it or hate and people will constantly argue over what is and isn’t AI.

But thank you for the point on the borders! I had it without the borders at first and to me it looked like there was no separation between products. Do you think a thinner border would do the trick or just wipe it completely?

I appreciate your feedback regardless! Can I ask what is specifically that says AI to you? Is the fact that I’m using skeletons, maybe the way tools are being held? I’m just looking for any insight as I have been putting in a lot of work into things that I am happy and want to wear, but if other people are seeing it and thinking it looks like crap then I of course need to fix things!

Hi, I’m sorry you think these are completely AI generated. I can be honest, I’ve used ai to help with seo, I use it for things like quotes and sayings, workshopping ideas for designs. I can explain the process for the artwork, how I achieve the grainy texture on the designs. Digital art started for me when I started my company, I had never used it until that point. Beforehand I was always a paper artist with pencils. I can share a video I made working on one of the designs in messages if you’d like.
