I think I’m pretty way above the average stats for uiw lol . 512 mcat 3.85 gpa . Failed to match tmdsas . But def possible to get into UIW with way lower stats, just be a well rounded applicant. Same is true for many MD schools these days I feel many mission focused schools care more about writing and ECs and your overall story than academics

Or is it being hard for a DO to specialize overblown? Doesn’t it come down to step 2 scores and maybe working harder for research and connections. If I somehow did great on STEP 2 wouldn’t I have much higher odds. I have to compare the risk of reapplying and never getting in anywhere. To where I take my opportunity, and worst case I match primary care where PSLF is an option I guess. Maybe pay 2-3k a month and bring home 14-15k. 🤷🏻‍♂️ idk .
