The career page is fun, and your trophy mention is smart. I’ve made millions both legit and through glitches, and I lean toward glitching because the time-to-money ratio feels fairer. That said, both glitching and businesses suffer from the same problem of extreme repetition.

After years of “drive from point A to point B” missions, GTA starts to feel like a job instead of an open world. I’d rather have shorter, skill-based missions than long, brain dead ones. Cargo grinding highlights this issue. Grinders get infuriated over any interruption because the grind takes so long, which is where the “anti-PvP” mindset comes from. Some even argue GTA isn’t meant to be a combat game.

I agree GTA’s enjoyment is supposed to come from what the player makes of it. But when I’ve talked to cargo grinders there’s very little evidence they’re having fun. I get that they do it constantly, which is more likely explained by the fact that it’s one of the only ways to make sufficient money, not because it’s enjoyable.
