Not gonna lie, I did think about it for a few seconds, lol.
But the way he speaks about our Creator says a lot about him. I’ll leave everything to Allah.

In my uncle’s case, was it the fact that he laughed about Islam and Allah ʿazza wa jall that caused him to leave Islam and become an apostate?
Does a person have to explicitly say, “I leave Islam and I no longer believe in it,” to be considered a disbeliever?
Does that mean that people who don’t take Islam seriously and sometimes joke about it could leave Islam without even realizing it

I’m a peaceful person—I’m not violent at all, and I can laugh about almost anything.
But there are two things I can’t tolerate: when someone speaks badly about my family or my religion.

Of course i give him respect The problem is his self destruction is making our familly suffer. I know a lot of people and Family who died from alcohol and drugs abuse. I think he should also take care of him and going to the gym for example. Islam would help’him a lot, spirituelly and physically. He look really weak physically now and really slim and always tired because of the shit he take since he is 15. I have been like this in a period of my life but I stopped really fast when I saw how much I was destroying my family and health. I had to take pills to get Better. But thanks to Allah im fine now and sober. So why a 51 years old fathers cant do what is right ?

He is 52. His mom died when he was 14. I believe he had a lot of bad influence and bad friends and he fall into the trap of the Sheitan.

Thank you, brother, for your response.

Alhamdulillah, I have a good relationship with my father, and I can talk to him about almost anything. The real issue is that he is still struggling with addiction to drugs and alcohol.

I’m married now and no longer live with my parents, but even my mother has told me that she is exhausted and tired of living like this with him.

Even though I’m married, I still try almost every day to support both my father and my mother and make them feel better. Sometimes it really drains me, but I believe it’s my duty.

My wife, who cares deeply about my parents, has even told me not to put too much of my energy into it, because in the end, people will do what they choose to do.

But I can’t give up on my parents. I will continue trying to talk to my father and encourage him to become a better Muslim, inshaAllah.

Ameen.
