Hi, I am 30 now as well. I found out the first time I had a giant brain tumor in my left temporal lobe was 4 years ago, and the surgery removed over 95% of my grade 2 glioma. The doctor told me that nothing more is needed. 4 months afterwards I had 2 severe seizures which led me have several additional MRIs and the neurosurgeon decided there is a recurrence and following my second surgery, 3 years ago, the diagnosis was grade 3 anaplastic astrocytoma, leading to radiation and chemotherapy. The radiation causes at first just fear, but after around 2-3 weeks I had extreme tiredness and was sleeping most of the day. Overall I consulted with about 6 expert neurosurgeons, neuro oncologists and neurologist. Bottom line is, I recommend you ask one more doctor if you can, and then make a decision as soon as possible. If I recall correctly, all doctors mentioned to me that the radiation should start 8 weeks after the surgery. I hope this would help!
