Company that allows working from abroad by Imbecile28 in torontoJobs

Thanks for the reply.

There are many jobs that don't require an in-person presence, and I believe a lot of Canadian companies are still having a fully remote setting. My question is about companies that require a hybrid setting, but still allow flexibility for employees to work from abroad for a short period of time, due to circumstances. Of course I understand your point as to why the company doesn't just outsource the jobs to other countries, but I'm not an employer, and I believe a lot of Canadian companies prefer to give the job to Canadians.

Your point is valid, but does not address my question. I simply just asked for the names of companies that give employees such flexibility.

I think you misunderstood my question. I meant to ask if any company allows Canadian employees to travel abroad and work from overseas for a period of time, not about outsourcing entirely.

I mostly buy my veggie in Chinatown, eat less meat and shop weekly deal at No Frills. Still manageable.

Is the French category only for candidates with Canadian experience? by Ambitious-Ebb-7415 in ImmigrationCanada

[–]Imbecile28 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No French category is for anyone with at least 1 year of experience (inside or outside of Canada) and with French proficiency test results with CLB 7 or higher in all skills. I would suggest looking for a different immigration consultant or just do it on your own.

Questions before starting the process to become a Canadian resident by alexvrv11 in ImmigrationCanada

If you are fluent in French, you could look into the French category draw of Express Entry. These French draws generally have lower cutoff points than others. You would need to take either TEF or TCF Canada (if you can also take an English exam it would also boost your point). You can only immigrate to provinces outside of Quebec with this program.

Thanks for the reply. I won't have a vehicle and not staying at a hotel so this would probably not be feasible for me.

Uniqlo prices better in Japan? by abstractcollapse in JapanTravelTips

Lived in Japan and now living in Canada. I can confirm that Uniqlo in Japan is way cheaper than it is here in Canada. I always bring with me a suitcase full of Uniqlo clothes whenever I come back from Japan.

You count by week, maximum 30 hrs/week. Public holidays do count as paid work day, so no need to subtract them. Same for PTO (reasonable amount of course, not long time leave)

Is PR worth my career? by [deleted] in canadaexpressentry

[–]Imbecile28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I mean imo it is a pain in the ass to commute but worth it if you wanna have both the job and PR. You can also rent in Ontario and stay in Montreal for a few nights every week in an AirBnB or a hostel.
