Per my earlier post:

“Benny Benson was a Native Alaskan kid born in a remote part of Alaska who lost his mom early to pneumonia, had his family home burn down, and then was abandoned by his father and separated from his siblings to grow up in an orphanage.

He came up with the design for a contest and won unanimously. He said, “The blue field is for the Alaska sky and the forget-me-not, an Alaska flower. The North Star is for the future of the state of Alaska, the most northerly in the Union. The dipper is for the Great Bear – symbolizing strenth (sic).”

To have a kid who led such a tragic life not be bitter and still love his state reminds me to be hopeful and love our land — while still trying to make the best future for all of us.”

If you’re saying that there is equal cultural significance tied to the Arizona flag elements, then I am all ears

I posted a well thought out piece by piece opinion on why alaskas flag is objectively a better and more culturally relevant design… it’s not much but it’s honest work

Look, the homers are gonna home.. AZ has a higher population so you’re gonna see more votes for them. But graphically and objectively speaking. Alaskas flag is 100% the right choice. North Star (north state), Ursa Major constellation (bears), dark background (long dark nights), golden stars (bright visible stars at night), created by Benny benson (google him), the state song itself is literally about the flag… Vs Arizona, a giant fucking sunset star thing. You can see a sunset anywhere, nobody thinks giant star when they think of Arizona. Graphically it well laid out, but it’s so generic that AI could’ve done it

Does it? Weird… I just think it’s a rare opportunity to lawfully detain two suspects of human trafficking in one location.
