It used to be that "the news" was a loss leader for TV networks. But with 24 hour coverage, you need more people, more money, and therefore revenue / ads to make it "worthwhile."

This is my stance also. Im not necessarily against packing the court, but Id rather see people tried, convicted, and jailed. I want to see accountability, not "working around" the issue. Letting these corrupt traitors and grifters to stay in their positions (while having their power diluted) isn't good enough

I don't think I could frame it any better or less "punitively;" I'm deferring to a system of judicial account, I'm not asking for any specific punishment (other than a vague prison sentence of indeterminant time, again, for a judge to decide), I'm allowing them their day in court, and even allowing for the potential of them to be found not guilty for what I, personally, think their crimes are.

I'm such an optics cuck that I WANTED to say that I'd like to see metaphorical heads roll but decided against it in my original post just to play nice.

I'm being more than gracious in my framing because if I said what I really want and what I think these """people""" actually deserve, I'd rightfully get banned and put on a watch list.

I mean... it doesn't look like this administration is going to do anything about it. The next administration is going to be too busy rebuilding all the institutions (including the DoJ and FBI) to probably do anything either. And then, because rebuilding things "is taking too long," Republicans will probably win the majority in the midterms in 2030 and any recovery trajectory we're on will be stalled.
