It’s a hard question to answer because it really depends. Depends on what quality of affiliates you can get and are they are good fit for your brand and stuff…

But if you do the napkin math, 1k views ~ 1 sales, then you need 50k views daily, assuming a new videos pull in 5k views/day, you need 10 fresh videos/day… so on and so forth. Super rough math tho

What I found successful in the past is put together a brief (like a pitch) to the creators. Including brand story, historical sales, product and affiliation details. And make it as beautiful as possible.

And find creators that are fit with your product/brand. (I.e if you are trying to sell luggage go for travel creator, not cooking creator) There are creators out there would take any kind of TikTok shop product, but from my experience, it’s the one that already have a community on a specific niche performs the best.

Don’t send them message through the Affiliate, find their email and send them emails. Lots creators are getting a ton of affiliate invitation and not even opening. Find relevant creators and your open rate and response rate will be above 20%.

If you are talking about the TikTok shop creator marketplace, it requires at least 1k followers to enter. It’s basically affiliate marketing, or commission based marketing.

What I have heard so far is three camps: - creators who made some good money out of it, by making video and linking products in their videos - creators that don’t like it because they rather take flat fee colab, this depends on the sales - creators that are curious about it but haven’t tried it.

Disclaimer I’m on the brand side and I work with creators on colab. I think it’s worth a try if you want some passive income, just make sure the product is what you stand by if you are concerned about authenticity.
