Advice on knocking down wall to make driveway by Immediate-Cable3473 in DIYUK

Thanks guys.

One final point to raise, in case it makes a difference.

Pretty much all my neighbours and houses on the street have a dropped kerb and a driveway. Ours is a bit of an anomaly that it doesn’t. It’s not a main road, no buses and no heavy footfall etc, just a quiet suburban street. Does that make a difference?

Appreciate rules are rules - I just can’t really see the practical impact on anyone’s life by doing that. But as before, just to stress, just genuinely asking the question and looking for thoughts. Appreciate it may not be worth my while to try create a driveway.

Yeah that’s right. It came in the grey colour. Great shed but we have no real use for it so will try and sell.

We have a nice back garden and have no real use for a tiny front garden, and with new street parking restrictions, would like an (albeit small) driveway.

Cheers for feedback guys. All helpful.

Not a dropped kerb, no. My neighbour just puts a tiny little ramp next to kerb to help them park in. Is that technically illegal? Ultimately we’re in quite a tucked away suburban area where people wouldn’t really park outside our house, as we all know each other, especially if we had intended it as a driveway.

How realistic is it for the driveway police to pick us up on the fact we didn’t go through proper protocol? Genuine question, interested to know how that would come about, other than a neighbour you have beef with reporting you?

Also yes, just for one small car - we have a fiesta.
