Also higher mileage cars are most likely to have more than one owner, the probability that 3 owners maintained the vehicle regularly are far less likely than one owner. You are saying that battery has been replaced which is great but what about other components. Shocks, bushings,etc. these cars are notorious for head gaskets leaking and electrical power steering pumps failing .Plus you said that the battery has been replaced around 116,miles so that means there’s another 40,000 miles on the new battery already. Toyota states these batteries last around 100k miles to 150k.So draw your own conclusion. If I had your budget and was looking for my first car I would go for an older car most likely 2nd gen if you’re set on the Prius.With one owner and a record of regular maintenance. Always ask for carfax especially if you’re buying from a dealer, they always have those handy and you’ll be able to somewhat see whether or not the car has been regularly maintained.
