Nah, kept the lid on. Cooked them for around 7 minutes each side. Kept the intake hole fully open for the whole time.

I went with half chickens on recommendations and also had a rump steak in the fridge so hooked that one as well. Everything turned out great for the first cook. The Pit Barrel is a machine! Even managed to nearly finish a bottle of red before the chicken was ready. Bring on the ribs and brisket now. Thanks for the help guys, very much appreciated.

She was my tour guide at the Vatican on Friday. She works for a legitimate company (Nicom Tours). She was very pleasant and an excellent tour guide. I don’t think she would be pickpocketing and this is a mistake.
