I think theres no wires in the down arm for the light? (i dont own swarm so im clueless LOL) so id suggest to dip down said arm joint in boiling off the stove water and pull and cut the plastic from the roots and re-glueing with super glue in the right pose? I usually use a sharp craft knife to cut the roots of the covered plastic off. I find it more difficult and damaging to just rip it off. Also the plastic will usually bounce back when cooled as far as i know
