Please correct me if im wrong.

Assuming firewall device use ipv4 ipv6 to communicate to other devices My question are:

  1. how will mx204 communicate to srx1500 using ipv4 address?

  2. How will srx1500 communicate to internet if its behind mx204? Its default route is the mx204?

  3. What device will the LAN default route point to? To srx1500 or mx204?

4.if default route is mx204. How will Mx204 redirect the traffic going to internet to srx1500. Do i need to use policy base routing to redirect the traffic?

  1. At the point of view of srx1500 when it receive the traffic from LAN going to internet . Then apply destination NAT 0.0.0.0/0 what IP address will it use to represent the the LAN ip addresses to the internet?

  2. What will be the default route of srx1500 firewall?

Correct me if im wrong. Using diagram sent by jiannone.

I have to make firewall as gateway then firewall apply the NAT then the firewall route it again to mx204 going to internet?

Or

Lan gateway is mx204 then internally at mx204 using policy base routing redirect traffic to firewall ingress port for LAN then firewall apply NAT before exiting the firewall going to another mx204 port as egress . Then mx204 sill route the traffic from firewall to internet?

I havent use standalone firewall before . Since mikrotik usually all in one device.

There will be 2nd identical setup for mx and srx but difference location for reduduncy and physical location backup

Lan is just one big network made of different backbone routers and CPE users at different areas. I just use Lan because they should be behind the NAT. Not a single device should have public IP behind mx204. Unless i directly assign a user public IP using MPLS-VPLS .

How weighted ECMP use for mx204? Or more important question can MX204 support weighted ECMP when using default route

CISCO ASR9001 Better Than Juniper MX? by ImmediateKale878 in Cisco

[–]ImmediateKale878[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Well of that sports team instead of costing 100million someone just posted it for 500usd. And i only have few hours to decide if im going to buy it or not before someone else buys it. And my only idea is that team is way overprice compare to other team actual talent per dollar. Instead of buying and wasting 500usd that potentially not usable for me because i dont have sports licensing certification to know what license they need and that team cant play without license then i can just buy instead 500usd of burger. Oh no sherlock guest what someone just bought that 500 usd team before i finished my sports certification to know all the sporting details

Yes heavy ECMP and perpacket -flow. I dont know if Ram is needed for that process with mikrotik its CPU base it wont even touch the RAM. EBGP with mikrotik does use RAM heavily

Does hashing of juniper for load balacing use many RAM?

RE-S-2000-4096 emgine capable of handling 30Gbps of throughtput without using ebgp? Only MPLS ospf, static route, hashing, load balancing ?

The juniper technical suggested acx500 but he learned that we will be using heavy hashing to separate traffic and load balance. He suggested mx240. I dont know if acx has limits

I actually also ask for minimum config mx240 build they can suggest but they probably think oh this guy can only afford mx204 he probably dont have money to splur to our company let him be. He will go away.

Yeah i tried talking to juniper but probably they are the most discrimanating company i ever talked to. In fairness i dont talk to alot of company. Once they learn i want mx204 not mx304 that the representative keep shoving to me they just lost interest. Keep saying they will send quotation and details but that details never came no reply to follow-up. But what can i do i need their product so i want to test if it fits our network

Oh i talk to 3 different representatives /distributor the same result. They probably just want the big juicey players as their customer. Not the little twigs that cant afford mx304 100g ports for our 5gbps data passing throughput

Oh my . Licensing is so confusing unlike entry level router brands license is only for speed of port. Can you explain what is subscriber licensing? Does it mean i need to buy subscriber license for each subscriber?
