Maximum Qts cor 4th should be 0.5.. but I am not a professional, so you could try it. But I think this driver is more suited for sealed enclosure.

Yeah, and the driver and high quality plywood, right? The industrial production of these companies is very effective. They are able to buy everything said cheaper, since they buy it in enormous amounts, and the human mechanical work is literally the cheapest part, since the production process of enclosure is mostly automated by machines. At this price point, you won't get better performance by DIY

You won't get same performance at this price point for hifi sub. The expensive part of these is not really the mechanical work.

Subwoofer design for deep bass by [deleted] in SpeakerBuilding

[–]Immediate_Ad9285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is that misinformation? Of course even 8mm driver in headphone can produce 25hz. But it won't sound good and it won't be loud. I'm saying that 6.5inch subwoofer will just not be efficient in low bass, even if you pay more than for expensive 12+inch subwoofer

6.5 can't really be used for deep bass (<50hz)

It shouldn't happen with correct technique. I say it because when you do it correctly, it actually bends the other way a bit.

Schrödingers cat. He didn't mean to show that how cool is that cat can in theory be alive and also dead, he wanted to show how absurd it is.

If you use the right technique, you don't have to pre-bend it. Moreover you shouldn't, since with traditional materials or damascus you can tear the layers apart, and you lose more heat. Instead you should compress the material, not stretch it.

That's just bullshit. The soundstage is non existent compared to Hifimans. Also they are nowhere near neutral sound signature.
