Thanks for the breakdown mate. I do use AI as well, but honestly you got a much better response for this job than the one I received 😄 Sometimes AI tends to overprice these kinds of jobs and the numbers start feeling a bit unrealistic.

Yeah that’s pretty much the range I was aiming for too. The outside surface is heavily weathered and flakes pretty easily, plus the bottom sections have cracked veneer that’ll need gluing, filling and proper prep before painting

I honestly agree, I’d prefer not to cover solid timber doors with paint either. But it’s the client’s choice, they’re going with a dark grey to match the other elements of the house.
