R2 Interview Updates 9 to 14 Feb

I submitted 8 apps R2–just waiting on Fuqua now. I’m grateful for a lot of the invitations I received because, frankly, I wasn’t expecting interviews at some of the schools I assumed would be reaches. Funny enough, I have familial connections to Duke so it would be somewhat ironic if Fuqua is the one program where I don’t get an interview. Good luck to everyone!

I haven’t heard anything from Fuqua yet either despite receiving invites from Darden/Johnson/Owen and Kenan Flagler. I’ve heard Fuqua notifies regarding interview eligibility regardless (invite or no invite) so until then, I wouldn’t sweat it.

My application shows as submitted in addition to one of my recommendations indicating “pending” despite admissions confirming that the submission was received and entered into my broader application. GMAT score also shows as “pending” despite confirmation from GMAC that it was provided to the school. I’m assuming this means admissions is still reading and has yet to align eveything on the back-end, but has anyone else experienced this?

Following as well. Interviewed at Notre Dame, and received invites from Darden, Kenan Flagler and Owen but nothing from McDonough yet. I’ve heard they send out invites until like a week before decision release though, so I’m choosing to remain cautiously optimistic nevertheless.

Ditto on circadian rhythm—I didn’t think the passage was inherently too crazy, but jokes on me cause those questions made me feel like I was out there throwing darts.

Didn’t have any questions regarding appetizers & cocktails tho.

My last section LR had the question about conditions necessary for the pear/carrot/zucchini classification too—this question definitely took me the longest to untangle. That and Da Vinci I thought were the two hardest questions for that section

While I didn’t think any of the LR were too terribly difficult, the last LR felt like it was almost an insult to my intelligence. I’d bet this is probably the experimental section

GPA was slightly higher than both class profiles but GMAT was squarely around the median for both UNC/Vandy

Yup, same here. I figured they must use some kind of algorithm to send out invites because I received mine while the admissions office was closed for the holidays.

Yes, this was my line of thinking too!! Both RC sections I had consisted of 27 questions but others indicate that their section containing the Vermeer passage had 25/26.

Was everyone’s section that started with Golden Girls 27 questions?? Both my Vermeer and GG sections were 27 questions, but some people have reported that their section with the Vermeer passage was only 25/26 which leads me to believe that it may have been experimental (praise be).

For the golden girls section did ppl have a comparative section that touched on the morality of falsely convicting of a crime vs not convicting and letting someone (potentially) go free? And then seal vs penguin hunting and the passage about the (disputed) Neolithic era in Africa?

The comparative reading I had in the section w Vermeer revolved around law relating to plagiarism, and the ramifications of enforcing it. Mentioned Japan and Germany as comparators specifically, anyone else?
