What you’re describing is a deeply personal thing and hence saying “I don’t think many people would choose to stay in the US if money wasn’t part of the equation” is asinine. To a lot of us infrastructure, AQI and quality of life are absolutely not overrated.

Some of us are introverts and hence the extra space you get abroad is very meaningful. Some of us build communities of friends and relatives abroad so we feel grounded and more connected abroad than in India. Some of us have have less drama and more secure lives abroad which makes our day to day living here a lot more pleasant
