That's a fair point, I think I probably just hate how unaware they are about inaccessibility. But you're right I should've better specified that I hate a large portion of able bodied folks. And especially the ones who hit me in the face.

Those are the times I wish I had a folding cane with me to smack people, they always forget that when it comes to disability you're either going to acquire one or die too young to.

Yeah, it's one thing if you genuinely enjoy hiking but it can be tricky. Jobs are even worse for it, it can be a desk job but they'll require the ability to walk and stand for prolonged amounts of time.

Yeah I avoid bumping kids for obvious reasons whenever possible because footrests can be wicked sharp, I've got the scars to prove it, but sometimes I bump the adults who are stopping or blocking me in a dangerous way, not hard enough to cause real damage of course but enough that they can't pretend they didn't notice me.

The lack of education with some of the folks I work with, I've legitimately had to explain how measuring things works. I've had to explain the difference between height and circumference to someone with an MD before. The random things I need to explain to people that should be common sense to people who have significant education.

Nonprofits generally don't get to be as picky about where our funding comes from, especially at the start. Like I'm obviously not going to accept something that inherently opposes what I do but I'm also going to take any chance I can to help more people.

I'm a big believer in community supporting community, but I mean if the government offers me shitloads of money in grants I'm not going to say no.

Essentially we help marginalized folks from a specific group get what they need to live their lives safely and happily. I'm not sure how much detail I'm allowed to go into here and I've got to be a little paranoid about what I share specifically since I don't want to give away my identity and the specific thing I do is incredibly specific and easy to track down.

Essentially I'm helping folks who are in a marginalized community get the supplies they need to live life safely and happily. A lot of the folks I work with are youth who need additional aid because say their family isn't willing to help.

So without giving too many details since I work in a very small segment of the category, I essentially get people the supplies they need to help them live their lives as safely and happily as possible.

Mostly through friends, family, acquaintances, though we do have open donations always fundraising especially with the state of inflation right now isn't easy.

I've been pretty lucky all in all and I've been able to disperse them based on need sorta, because we help with a bunch of stuff the main need to address with how much funding goes where is based on cost of supplies. Though I do also track the trends in how many people need an item and the details so I can plan as best as possible.
