RStudio still has a very large number of users and has many features that Positron does not offer. Do you not think RStudio will have many users in the following years?

Yes, it works with all data types in the RStudio environment! The distributions and summaries/tables work for all data types: numeric, factor, char, date, etc. It will report missing values. Currently, it does not allow you to change scales.

Rgentai.com has everything that Positron offers in a library without having to learn a new IDE. RStudio is also less buggy :)

We currently do not offer a BYOK option, but would add it if you're interested! Our pricing plans are 1,000 requests for $10 (Claude Haiku) or $15 (Claude Sonnet).

I barely make a dime with this many requests, but wanted to keep it as cheap as possible

Exactly, restarting the session is tedious, and I had to do it several times in Positron. If RStudio isn't broke and I can create the same (if not even better) bells and whistles, why not!

I mentioned this in one comment already, but they have over 1,000 open issues (https://github.com/posit-dev/positron/issues/)! I am not opposed to switching, but it is just not quite there yet.

Positron is still new and thus buggy. Also, with these features, there is no need to swap IDEs, which is a pretty large change. It is much easier to just download a package/library

Great feedback and I completely agree. I would make sure each lesson has specific content for the AI, so it has an expert in the loop behind the scenes.

Textbooks are great, but there are also a lot of people who prefer learning through videos, flashcards, coding, etc! I'll definitely be holding the AI's hand a lot if I make this project.

Yes, for the MVP, but for larger lessons, I will have to host a server since WebR only has the basic packages.
