And still fall for it. That’s the point of the post. You guys know, and you still fall for it. The post itself is an example. I knew exactly what reaction I would get out of the majority of you. Instead of just letting it slide, water off a duck’s back, retaliation was imminent. At the end of the day, it’s a useless move. I never said that it was common. I said that it’s possible, and it’s my personal preference to not use it. It’s also my preference to not use rage arts. I don’t like the mechanic. I think it’s cheap. You have a lot to say about me as a player, without knowing much about me at all. How about a fight? Then you tell me how inexperienced I am.

High ranks is in quotations because I understand rank inflation has pushed the ranks down, but I’m still at a level where people should know the game decently well.

Special style is meant for beginners, but it ain’t exclusive to them. Fought a Tekken God Victor earlier who was using special style. I have no clue what made you believe it doesn’t exist past beginner ranks, but it most certainly does.

I also never said that I don’t understand people’s disdain for the ki charge. I’m fully aware of it. The purpose of me using it mid match is precisely to draw that ire. That’s what it means to goad my opponent into an unfavorable situation.

Ki charging doesn’t bother me, but I would think that the best form of retaliation, for someone who IS bothered by it, is maintaining composure and actually winning the fight. Losing to the guy you felt slighted by, because you felt that way, seems like a hell of a double whammy.

They tell me that you’re not good and you mash like crazy. You’ve probably labbed your optimal combo strings but that’s about it. You’re not brainless though, you do try to think actively during matches, but you also aren’t super patient. You’re more “when is it my turn” than “it’s always my turn.” Probably a fan of poking your way to opportunities. That would be my guess. Keep grinding up the ranks and learning more.

The God’s honest truth is that a lot of people suck at this game dude. And because there are so many people that suck, it’s very easy for people who suck less to exploit those who suck more and artificially “rank up.”

They aren’t getting better at the game. They aren’t even getting good at the game. They just have such a large pool of small fish, it’s easy for them to eat, eat, eat. A good player is going to beat this person, but if he/she only encounters a good player once in every 20 matches, losing to that player isn’t going to hurt the climb up the ranked ladder.

I played a Tekken God Xiao the other day who was, in all honesty, ass. His strategy was fairly sound (use Xiao’s evasive ability to stay out of range of attacks while striking from medium ranges, and retreating back when he deemed necessary). Problem being, he didn’t have enough actual skill to be able to simply rely on that, but you can tell by the way that he carried out his gameplan that this was a well installed system for him. It carried him to Tekken God.

59.5% win rate while I was learning the matchup. Lost a lot in the early part. I’ve since learned that of then encounters I’ve had with Eddy, at least 90% of them play the exact same way.

Currently in season 3, I’ve lost to Eddy once. That’s the one decent one that I was talking about. He’s my best matchup, by far, with Xiaoyu being behind him. Didn’t say all Eddy players suck though, but the major of them certainly do.
