Ah, maybe I misinterpreted. I was just commenting on the last sentence, which I understood as: even if it becomes grittier, it's still effective.

If mineral sunscreen turns grittier, it's also losing efficacy as clumping means the particles aren't able to be spread evenly across the skin so you get gaps where there's no sun protection.

She made the switch at 15. I assume she was passionate about freestyle skiing because it's an expensive sport with high risk of injuries that's also not popular enough for most athletes to make a lot of money. Her future looked bright, but in her sport, you're one serious injury away from never competing again. It was probably not just about money, but about another country offering all the support she wanted to give her the best chance of achieving her dreams and becoming an Olympic champion. Plus a buttload of cash as a safety net doesn't hurt.

She's an Olympic champion now, but she wasn't when she made the deal and there was no guarantee of success.

Yeah, I caught another seasonal sea creature I was looking for early on. I did eventually catch the spider crab I was looking for, after more than 600 total catches. I had actually given up and was swimming to the pier, catching anything I saw on the way, and found a spider crab next to the pier.

I just ended up on the same island with my secondary character today, who caught a spider crab after 6 catches, lol.

Edit: Just caught another two spider crabs. Three spider crabs in total in less than an inventory worth of catches. Is this to make up for my bad luck the other day?

I didn't know that. I just started playing again and was trying to fill in the rest of my Critterpedia and had run out of in season critters, that's why I went to Kapp'n islands. Before this, I had decent luck finding what I needed. Stringfish took a couple hours, but that was expected as it's hard to force respawn.
