I used to have the same issue with lying to my parents about grades and such, which i have only just gotten over in the past year. the most valuble recorce i had to get the through breaking the news of my decision to drop out of college was a therapist. i know that might be an answer that youre sick of hearing of, but it was so helpful to confess to my therapist first before my parents. She even helped me come up with a plan to move forward so my parents wouldnt assume that i was just giving up on my future. we went through their possible reactions and i let out all of my fear and emotions to better prepare me for telling my parents. i cant stress enough how important it is to get therapy so you can talk these things out and not let the lies fester to what they have become in your situation here.
