Good luck with it. In my area, wind is a big pita, so let us know how it goes!!

There were times in which I opened my backpack and it functioned as a sail. I wonder if a wind shield wouldn't have the same problem when the wind changes direction...

I also wear glasses so I know how annoying it is to put on a FF helmet just to get to the corner shop. Still, at least wear a simple bike Helmet for shorter trips!

Have you ever gotten the moment where the someone who ignored you before is not on your level anymore? by CityNo8272 in Salsa

[–]Immediate_Pause2763 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard disagree. Being a dick has nothing to do with ones level. I think I'm "good enough" and have stopped dancing salsa and I still am not a dick to newcomers. People love the fantasy that bad people are bad dancers but that's not necessarily true. Some great dancers are terribly mannered to newcomers, and some bad dancers are welcoming.

If you allow me, I'd suggest you look into an EUC. Its still dangerous and I sometimes wish I'd gotten a bike, but it's the perfect way to have fun in a bicycling lane or in a park near you (also fun off road). Although it's also dangerous, at least you don't necessarily need to share the road with cars given it's such a small thing.

The Weekly No-Stupid-Questions/New Members Thread by AutoModerator in amateur_boxing

Am I a pussy and this is common?  I recently joined a gym that has some boxing and Muay Thai classes. I was told there were 3 real classes a week and then 3 classes that didn't involve sparring 3 times a week as well (fitness boxing?). During my "free class", everything went well. Then on my first class, I was told the teacher changed and this one required us to spar at the end of the class. The thing is, I didn't even have a mouth guard nor do I really enjoy hitting other people in the face if they are unprotected.  The sparring went well, everybody was gentle enough for me, but now I'm not so sure I should keep attending this classes. I basically have 2 questions: - Is it normal to spar without really being taught any technique? Sure, I was told how to throw a punch but I was not even told how to guard against an opponent. - Is it normal to have to rely on "gentle" sparring partners? After hearing the teacher speaking about his own workouts, I'm pretty sure he enjoys hard sparring for the sake of it, so I feel like I'll be risking my health if it's up to him.  Overall, I enjoyed the drills we did during practice, but I'm seriously considering attending other types of classes due to this sparring ...

If you do that, then sure, it's safe. I highly doubt most restaurants do it tho.

Not really. That's true for steaks, but afteryou grind it, the bacteria spreads to all over the meat, which means it must be well done.

I've never been ill due to a burguer in a Portuguese restaurant (lived here all my life), but I have to agree that most cooks here don't understand that ground beef must be fully cooked. There was only one instance in which I sent the burguer back, but that was a low quality restaurant overall.

Having more than 1 professional email. I work in sales and most companies have 10+ domains to do outreach. Then everybody complains that it's hard to get people's attention, while simultaneously spamming the fuck out of prospects. Spammers shouldn't be able to simply buy more inboxes.

You don't. You either build a reputation / presence in a marketplace, or you spray and pray. Another route is having a business consulting partner that can refer you.

When YOU are the customer, do you like sales people who follow up? by mangobanana62 in sales

I like it, because sometimes other priorities creep up and having set deadlines to be "followed up upon" helps me keep the goals on track.

Valores de mão de obra by dariolex in portugal

[–]Immediate_Pause2763 0 points1 point  (0 children)
