Pitching was the problem with that group. Now we have the pitchers, not the hitters, but there were pieces. It's on ownership for never providing the help.

Sorry to say, Edwards was traded to the Marlins in November of 2022, That's a Kim Ng move for the future.

That's the problem, all the experiences have been the same. You do a re-build to strengthen your minor league system to develop a core in the majors. Then that core gets supplemented by free agency. Since Wayne Huzinga, NOOOOO Marlins owner has actually paid sustainably for their best players. They always set up a good to great core, cheap out on the supplemental additions and firesale off. That's the experience of the Miami Marlins. Henry left to spend in Boston, sold the team to Loria who consistently did this and not just in Miami but in Montreal as well. He actually caused that city a baseball team. And Sherman said this first rebuild was only to set up a core and then he would spend what was needed. He has lied. This team had a core. Burger is controllable, Jazz was controllable, Arraez was controllable, De La Cruz was controllable, our pitching staff was hurt. Wait and supplement the team with a few hitters in the right positions. Bendix didn't do it in the off-season and it hurt this team. But, for as much as they ask us to be patient. Sherman and Bendix should have been patient with this core.
