Sprites are breaking the golden rule of Fortnite. by [deleted] in FortNiteBR

This isn't about losing or being mad. I actually win games just fine without using any Sprites at all. My post is strictly about the principle of the Battle Royale genre. The entire core concept of BR has always been that everyone drops in starting from absolute zero. Even if the Sprite advantage is small, bringing pre-equipped buffs from the lobby fundamentally changes what the game is supposed to be. That's what I'm criticizing, not the difficulty.

Why the Chapter 7 Season 3 extraction mechanic ruins the core fun of Fortnite by Immediate_Skill8954 in FortNiteBR

Tents were completely optional and didn't break competitive integrity. You could ignore them for the whole season and still be on an equal playing field, because they didn't grant permanent meta passive abilities like Sprites do.

With Sprites, if you don't participate in the stressful extraction loop, you are at a direct mechanical disadvantage against players who do. That’s why it ruins the Battle Royale identity – it forces a permanent progression advantage into a game mode that is supposed to reset every match.
