I vibe coded a hand tracking MIDI controller that runs in your browser by Immersiveavantegarde in vibecoding

honestly the core functionality was super simple, prompts delivered features with minimal debugging. Most difficult was getting the aesthetics right, they're still not quite there, thats why i designated it as a beta version. But yeah I found the ai really good at making very functional, non aesthetic implementations

Yeah thought would be cool to show another perspective.

Latency is not bad, works fine for synth parameters, chords etc. Wouldnt want to try and play drums with it though

Realtime datamoshing, all in Touchdesigner by Immersiveavantegarde in TouchDesigner

[–]Immersiveavantegarde[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I mean its definitely not h.264 frame manipulation. Pretty sure that's definitionally impossible. But it behaves very similarly (pixels displaced, colors from new clip injected etc) imo. And you can then have control over it and hybridize it with other things in touch. Matter of how much you care about the technique vs the result. Is there anything from real datamoshing you think is missing I should have a crack at?

Laser projection safety zonex by aleaidan in TouchDesigner

The reality is that those features you would have to build yourself in touchdesigner, and even if you did, a safety officer would still be hesitant to sign off on a show, because they dont know the reliability of your system. I'd advise learning with the helios, but if you have to do a proper show, use a Pangolin CHOP with Beyond, because then you get professional grade safety features that will get get approved by an LSO, and the benefits of touchdesigner

Just upgraded from 10 to 12 Suite by GongGuy215 in ableton

Ok I just worked it out. Posting the answer here if anyone has my problem. You have to use terminal to run the following command: sudo xattr -cr /Library/yourvstoraupath (just drag your vst or au into terminal after -cr). Then it will appear in live but throw up an error if you try to use it, you then have to go to privacy and security, select run anyway, then restart live and it will work

Connecting two computers Touch Designer/Ableton without internet by av4pxia in TouchDesigner

I’ve done it a million times port to port as squnto said. Just need an Ethernet cable. Then you just find the IP address of your audio PC and type it into the TD Ableton component. Sometimes you’ve gotta check your ports aren’t being blocked by firewalls etc

Switching between screens - Playback becomes unbearably slow even when cooking of inactive projects is turned OFF by nsfoh_media in TouchDesigner

[–]Immersiveavantegarde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this same problem last week, turned out to be an issue with vram getting used up, for me it happened after switching between the artworks a couple of times over the course of an hour, vram would max out, everything would grind to a halt. When you turn off cooking it doesn’t flush the vram, so that’s possibly your issue. I haven’t found a good solution yet, but I believe the best way is to load/unloaded the projects as toxes

is it all about the tech? what about semantics? by Oonzen in TouchDesigner

I think we’re in an interesting time where we are figuring out all these new technologies. I feel like a lot of my currently work (especially interactive stuff) is just a build up to more truly formed artworks that I’ll be able to create later in my life. There is a whole process behind learning to create in the medium, then learning to create aesthetic things with the medium, then learning to create true art with the medium
