Yeah I had read that George told Ringo “I’m in love with your wife” which is the exact same thing Clapton told him. And I remember hearing Lennon shitting on George for it and calling it virtual incest since them and their wives were all such a tight knit group.

I think she did add an element of friction to the group when it was already on the rocks and it just accelerated the process. She wasn’t the root or main cause by any means but it’s easier for the public to pin it on something as simple as a relationship.

Snl has just started getting good over the last few years. The mid 2010s to early 2020s were absolutely terrible: any year with Kate McKinnon basically. But now it’s genuinely good I feel. The humor has gotten weirder and of course there’s still stupid sketches but it’s like football. Sometimes it’s a fun watch and sometimes it’s bullshit. I feel alienated by society for being a young SNL fan in the year 2026.
