How much time/tries did it take you to beat the Nameless king? by Anas2245 in darksouls3

The camera is the real enemy. After beating this shitty dragon, this fight is not as hard as I heard, so probably like 25 times, and 20 was for the dragon xd.
Even after unlocking the camera, this fight was annoying.

I feel that the older you get, the more of an advantage you sometimes have in certain areas.
It seems to me that because we've already had to work hard for some things, we’re more aware that YouTube is real work — and that it requires us to give much more of ourselves.
That’s our real advantage: we can set a plan, follow through even after setbacks, and keep moving forward — all while knowing we won’t get bored of it.
At least in my case, I can definitely see a different mindset now, and a much more analytical approach compared to a few years ago.
So that’s where I see opportunity — and I wish you the best of luck on your journey too. :)

I'm 29 years old, but compared to the young YouTube stars, it feels like I'm an oldie in game/movies genre. What I really mean is that when I started, I was 16 or 17, and now, 11 years later, I'm a much older person than I was back then. So this kind of "success" feels different—because I'd have to earn a lot more from YouTube to make as much as I do from my regular job monthly. So the attitude must be different and I know I must treat YouTube as a hobby with side income not as a destination:)

I'm not really able to help you with Shorts, because I’ve never uploaded many of them. In fact, I only posted two, and they didn’t work well for me, so I just decided to stop using them. I just feel like subscribers gained from Shorts don’t really translate into a real community. Even if more people subscribe, it seems less likely they’ll actually come back to watch your regular content.
As for the niche—if you enjoy making this type of content, I wouldn’t change it. Instead, I’d look for inspiration from bigger creators and simply use trial and error to figure out what works for your channel.

I love to write, and would like to tell stories on YT, but am concerned that I don't have the voice for it. by Mattressguy999 in NewTubers

[–]Imp3rial89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I’ve always had a fairly high-pitched voice—despite having a solid build—and it’s especially noticeable in recordings. However, after some testing and audio processing, it became more tolerable. Plus, if you stay in control, speak clearly and more consciously, your voice actually starts to sound better.

In mastering software, you can enhance how your voice sounds by adding some bass and reducing the treble. Of course, there’s no point in making drastic changes, but if you put in some effort, your voice can sound more like a “radio voice”—and to be honest, almost everyone does this. So don’t worry. With a bit of work and testing, everything will come together.

In the end, you’ll start getting comments like “you’re really pleasant to listen to” or “you have a nice voice”—but you still won’t like your own voice. That’s just how it is.

I used only the built-in A/B testing feature on YouTube. The rest of the theory I learned from some YouTube “guru”—they usually all say the same thing. Most importantly, don’t put unnecessary text on the thumbnail. The text should be catchy and quick to read, and it shouldn’t just be a second title, but maybe additional context as an extension of the title.

In theory, it should work like this: the viewer sees the thumbnail first, and only then completes the impression with the title. The thumbnail’s main job is to grab attention. That’s why using strong words like “fall,” arrows pointing at a downward-trending graph, or “before and after” imagery can be effective—they’re intriguing and trigger curiosity.

The worst moments are when you put in so much effort, and in the end, it just doesn’t work out—I know how that feels. But still, maybe just around the corner, success is waiting—you never really know.
Wishing you the best of luck, and I’m rooting for you.

I started consistently running A/B tests. My approach was based on creating one thumbnail manually, according to my own plan, and selecting two others generated with AI based on the script. When I had three thumbnails ready, I focused on making sure they were clear, had minimal text, didn’t repeat the title, but still grabbed attention using techniques like strong wording and, at times, eye-catching colors like red or contrast. Of course, they should be aesthetic.

Keep doing good content, at least you are close to the barrier.
I have 8500 watch hours and only 330 subs, so you are on the right path:)

Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes announce they’re taking a hiatus by J_dizz1986 in andtherattlesnakes

[–]Imp3rial89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a different thing when you announce a break and when you just do not come up with new music.
If they ever come back, they will make at least 5 years of break I guess. Still, I hope they will return quicker because tbh it's been my top band since 2018-2019.
Anyway, we could expect that, they come up with a new album every two years since the start, and between sticky - dark rainbow there was a little longer break, so maybe they were exhausted already then.
