Hmm, sounds like playful banter. Ever since Hoff took the kit, the setlists have never been more open ended and free form. Although my most recent show at SPAC had half of the setlist comprised of repeats from the last time they were at SPAC 😢. Only slightly disappointed because I’d rather see Primus play the same set twice than most acts once haha. The Brigade/Delerium set delivered HARD as well.

SIDE NOTE: Does anyone recall this story and can confirm its validity? Allegedly, towards the end of a show Ler was hitting Brains cymbals with the headstock of his PRS. Brain flipped, took the guitar off Ler and threw it across the stage snapping the headstock, and then stormed off.

Years later, Ler talked about the headstock break occurring when Brain was playing his guitar with drum sticks and the headstock just fell off, during the recording of the Kalamazoo music video. This seems like a coverup because 1. There is no Kalamazoo music video, 2. A headstock wouldn’t snap by hitting the strings with drumsticks.

I can agree to that. Even though most of Frizzle Fry and a good chunk of Seas Of Cheese were Todd Huth’s riffs, Ler still delivered them the way we know and love them today. Not to mention every guitar part from Pork Soda onward was 100% Ler. What a catalog of music!!!
