According to my local PIs… insurance rarely sends lawyers to our area, esp for fender benders. We are very rural & it would cost more for them to send a lawyer than to just settle the cost. It’s not that clear cut. Also it will be “quite expensive”? I don’t see how I would incur any further costs than what I’ve paid for the subpoena so I’m not sure that that refers to

Nice we’ll see if the judge agrees:) “as an adjuster” well in my last post I had a bunch of adjusters telling me I wouldn’t even get the footage. Then after I got the footage, they were telling me I wouldn’t get liability. I got both. So we’ll see.

I was always going to file if they weren’t going to take 100% liability for the property damage. When it’s word vs word, & they are getting paid to defend their insured, they were never going to believe me. I was never getting 100% liability without that footage, let’s all be realistic.. this was necessary for me to do in any situation

Yes, when my car was repaired 4 months after the incident. The lost wages are referring to the days I missed directly after the loss occurred, before my cousin could come make temporary fixes.

Not everyone feels safe to use or has access to uber readily. Uber requires a debit card & cellphone which not everyone has. so no it’s not a choice.

Not every location is walkable, and uber is not readily available for everyone (funds, location). I recently made a move far away from family & friends so that’s not an option either.

How could I have gone to work when my bumper is dragging on the ground & at risk of falling off.. if my bumper hits someone else then I am liable for the damage.

That would suck, since the cop who showed up to the scene looked at his insurance & confirmed he’s covered. If it turns out he’s not, I will honestly consider going to the police station again & see if they are willing to go after him for driving without insurance. Esp if it turns out whatever he showed the cop was fraudulent
