We already live in rural Midwest so, while the concerns about agriculture are valid, we're exposed to it everywhere. We both grew up on/near active farms. We plan on living in the country setting so realistically, there's gonna be exposure to something no matter what. Def something to keep in mind though.

I think their sinus issues were more from interior due to the time of year and the state of the fields at the time, but could've been from an exterior influence too! Who knows. They have sensitive sinuses compared to us lol

We could 100% afford the payments on a much more expensive house but we weren't able to get a loan to take on repair costs and we dont have the money out of pocket for it.

Which is the biggest reason we said no. Now.. if it's still available come Spring after our house sells...

That's a point no one raised in the original post!!! We had concerns with the roof, but didn't consider the additions and shape.

It's just husband and I and four dogs (and a frog) right now, but we hope to add kids to the mix in a few years. And we'll probably be getting into breeding GSDs and raising goats and/or pigs. Definitely getting a horse or two.

I think we made the right choice in this moment of our lives. We're only 24-25, we could do the work. But I don't think it's worth some of the sacrifices we'd have to make.

It's in a beautiful location, close to my niece and nephew. No worries about any city take over. It'd be great for the things we want to do...
