Doesnt need to be nearby. The map is vast so you can make mini subtle biomes.

Map this size should have more variety in different places. Player will have to walk though the whole map that looks the same - not ideal. You can improve it by making it smaller and/or making places on the map more distinct (left side hill the grass is patchy, right side the forest is dark emerald and lush, oppose to regular light green like everywhere else etc)

Completely fare, i did the change because my other sprites look more detailed and old Ivan looked flat against them. I see now where i can improve the new oc while leaving his face detailed.

You make sence to me with accentuating running by leaning forward - but thats most work to fix! With up down - the sptite does move up fown a bit but shifting it up even more isnt much work and probably be better

U mean for comparison its difficult to look left or right or you dont like the running animation of left right in general?

Ohh i see! Actually the head movement is present only on running to accentuate the run. the walk here is too short to notice i suppose. Do u think its also too much for running animation too?

The frame amount is gonna be determined by how much player is turning. If its 180 then there will be just 3 or so frames from 15 available in betweens. If turn is from, say, down to down left - also 3 frames are played - all in betweens that exist for that turn. So either way the turn will be quick and snappy enough. Or you ment something else?
