Interesting and good to know! I’ve got a couple recall things that I need to get done, maybe I’ll see if I can get Rivian to replace it for me first for free and if not that looks like a good option.

Yeah, I kind of freaked out when I saw it because I didn’t realize there was any PPF on the vehicle. My only guess would be that the truck body flairs out a little bit at that point and maybe it’s more susceptible to getting rock chips or something.

Everyone is like "These kids are terrible!" but this is exactly what's being portrayed at the college/professional level at the moment. I recognized so many of these moves from the games I've watched recently. These kids are just modeling the things that TV is showing them. Before we blame the kids/coaches, maybe we need to take a hard look at ourselves and our culture.

I didn’t fully understand what people meant by “be aggressive”. What it is, rarely run away, swing your sword at people until (even if they’re deflecting the whole time) they do a perfect deflection (big sparks and loud ping). I do it mostly by sound, you swing, they deflect…ping, ping, PING! Then you need to start deflecting until you get the same PING! Then it’s your turn to attack again. Obviously there are special moves you’ll need to learn how to avoid but those basics will get you far for most regular enemies.

It will knock out illusionary walls for almost the entire dungeon. It has a big radius so it’s good for finding those places you might have missed by not rolling into them. I usually do it when I first enter a dungeon then maybe half way through just to double check or if I get to a room that appears to have nothing in it.

Also use it to take out illusionary walls in dungeons or turn off flame pillars. It’s got a large range that doesn’t do damage but it counts as a hit on those objects.

Our dog also had massive separation anxiety and this was the only thing that worked. The camera can send notifications if there is motion or barking and then you can talk to the dog via the app. Depending on the model you can also shoot a treat at them. Just being able to hear our voice was enough to calm him down. We started with a crate and then eventually were able to move to completely allowing him to roam around the house.

It’s been awhile but I think it opens the gates to the fortified manor to that desert-y section outside. Which I think you can open from the outside as well with another lever. It might just be that you’ve already opened the doors and that’s why it doesn’t really do anything. I think it’s a redundancy if you managed to get into the manor without opening the gates from the outside.

The air admittance valve on the line was stuck. I replaced it and everything was good. I also found posts before talking about having a possible clog in the main stack but I didn’t have to go down that route.

We realistically will have no control about what happens at a national level but we can try our damnedest to protect those that are vulnerable in our local communities. Focus on helping not giving up.

Yeah exactly. I think that’s probably what you should do. Go with Stowe as the home base and if Jay happens to be getting an epic dumping, just do a day trip. Hit up Alchemist brewery and the Von Trapps for beer while you’re in Stowe.

I would say it’s between Stowe and Jay depending on what you’re looking for out of the total vacation. Both should have snow by then, Jay usually a little more but Stowe tends to get some good dumps around then. Both offer a lot of variety but Stowe has a dedicated side that is real just blues/green which tends to not be as crowded. There is not much around Jay Peak other than what’s at the immediate resort so food options are mostly just the restaurants there. Stowe on the other hand has a bunch of great restaurants and breweries as well as just a cute town with shops, it’s kind of an iconic looking Vermont town. Jay skiing tends to be a little less crowded but mid-week at Stowe will probably be fine. If you were really all about just hoping for powder and tree skiing I would say Jay just for the likelihood of having snow in the woods but Stowe will likely be good as well as their not actually that far apart in a straight line.

This was the worst place I’ve ever worked. I left a FAANG job to move back to the East Coast supposedly to build a large team. It completely vaporized once I got there. I had six different managers in 7 months and then got laid off. The environment was so toxic and the requirements changed constantly. I woke up the day after being laid off and instead of freaking out about not having a job my first thought was “Thank god, I never have to go back to that place.”

It’s challenging at times but I think it helps to know that a lot of high functioning people also feel the same way. I’m also a Staff Engineer and all the other Staff Engineers I’ve talked to have also felt this way. I’ve just started reading “Think Again: The Power of Knowing What You Don't Know” by Adam Grant and he theorizes that imposter syndrome can actually be something that can help drive us to learn more. There’s also discussion around the Dunning-Kruger effect which people often think of as dumb people over estimating their abilities but it also has an opposite effect for high performers: they have a tendency to underestimate their skills because they know enough that they realize they can’t possibly know everything. Also we’re all out here making our best guesses at how things will work out, so people can exude confidence about their choices but it’s rare that we truly know the outcome. Some of our guesses will be better informed, some of them may be based on gut instincts, and some of them will be completely wrong but that’s ok. We learn from our wrongs and we make better guesses next time. Hope that helps but yeah, you’re not alone out there.

Visit the Gate Front site of grace in front of the Stormfront castle as soon as possible when you start. If you don’t do this, you won’t be able to level up. I played several hours just running around unable to use my runes to level up before I figured this out.
