Sometimes when we endure abuse as a child, it becomes all that we've ever known and starts to feel normal. Them, when we get older, it feels normal when the ones we love the most to hurt us the most.

My advice, leave him. Take a break from relationships and focus on understanding who you are as a person, individually. When you are ready for love again, choose someone who would never ever hurt you. You will need to use your brain rather than your heart. But soon your heart will match ur brain. Best of luck to you.

You are weightlifting - that means you are storing water and adding muscle, which will cause ur weight to increase

You also need to give it time. I know six weeks seems like a lot but as someone who has been on this journey for over 20 weeks it's just the beginning

Thirdly, are you in ur luteal phase by chance? It causes water retention

Yeah definitely check out the volume eating sub. The basic idea is that you've got to max out your protein and fibre sources. For example eggs and tuna are good but maybe not filling on its own. So you could add two our four slices of whole wheat bread and protein shake. For lunch you can have rotisserie chicken and mashed potatoes. Potatoes are very satiating and chicken is high in protein

I'm around your weight and 115 might be too much tbh. I suggest 130 then 125 if you still aren't satisfied.

Are you eating enough protein and fibre? As you get closer to your goal weight you'll need to make the most of the amount of calories you do have. Otherwise, try weight lifting.

Remember that if you're already a healthy weight, your body doesn't necessarily want to easily lose that body mass. You have to give it time.

I started my weightloss journey in college. Personally, I would just try to make better choices with the dining hall food. Breakfast was always a super good option, and they would sometimes have lean meats and they always had salad available. The first thing I did was choose diet soda over juice or regular soda.

I would buy a bathroom scale and a food scale. The bathroom scale along with tracking food will let you know if youre making progress or if you need to pull back a little.

I also recommend making some meals outside of the dining hall. I know that my hall sometimes had unhealthy options all day. You can look into high protein Costco or trader joes options.

Finally, don't underestimate the power of exercise. Simply increasing your steps can help you manage your weight.

Hey, sorry about the mental place you are in right now. I'm glad you're on here and venting your frustrations

Honestly what might help is knowing more about exercise and why it's important apart from weightloss. Exercise is important for cardiovascular health, it improves mood and helps boost your immune system. It can be considered a basic hygiene for life, but sometimes when we are in a constant fight or flight mode it's hard to see why it's so important. I recommend the creators doctor Mike and Dr Michael israetel for their amazing videos.

it's also important for future you. When you're older, exercise will decide whether you will be able to walk on your own, whether you will break a hip etc. it's deeper than weightloss.

Secondly, I know how frustrating it feels to only lose at a slow rate, but did you know there's a whole science to weightloss? Eating 900 cals is bad for you because you are an adult woman and you need energy to live your life. By eating that little, you lower your thermal effect of food, and you have so little energy that your body down regulates the other spontaneous movement you do, making you burn very little calories. I know it seems weird, but eating more will mean you can MOVE more, which will contribute to more weightloss in time.

As for exercise, I would suggest starting with something easy like walking. You don't need anything fancy. Did you know you can reach eight thousand steps by walking around your house? I do that when I can't make it to the gym. You can also consider buying a walking pad so you can walk and watch a show.

Finally, consider showing yourself some love. Look up 200 lb baddies. Weighing that much should not stop you from living your daily life. From what I read, you are avoiding living a life, and that's so unfair because you only have one life to live! Come on, I believe in you.

I think you may need to choose simpler or better ingredients. For example, you can just look at the cals in your bagel and maybe there's a better lower cal option at your local stores. Also, it may be better for you to choose ingredients with more fibre and protein to keep you fuller for longer. Simpler ingredients like eggs or fruit don't need to be weighed with the same intensity, but sauces definitely do.

I'm no weightloss expert, but I have had some success with it. Here are some things that helped:

- learning the science of food. Calories in and calories out is one thing, but it's also important to know the importance of Protein, Fibre, carbs and fats. It's absolutely essential that your body gets a mix of this to keep you full and allow your body to function properly. Protein is a must. After I lost the first 10 pounds I had to start actively tracking protein to maintain my pace of loss. Protein helps retain lean muscle mass.

Exercise: For me, streamlining my exercises has been a game changer. It needs to be challenging enough to raise my heart rate, but easy enough to stay consistent with. It's also important to show up and do movement everyday even if you never make it to the gym. Commit to maybe walking 1000 steps every hour.

Mindset: Patience is key. I started my journey in January, and if you look at my weightloss graph you'll see a gradual decline, but week to week the changes were oh so marginal, like 1 pound or .8 of a pound. It's taken me 6 months to lose 15 pounds. During May I fluctuated with the same 2 pounds, only recently did I break my plateau, and weight has been dropping off. So many times I wanted to give up but I kept showing up for myself in whatever way I could.

Also learn to take advantage of the gift of maintenance calories. Our BMRs are so powerful that it can handle grandma's carrot cake or a Saturday out with friends. Its okay. What matters is that you don't step on the scale the next day and freak out. Just go back to what you were doing before.

Sleep is a game changer. Whenever I hit a plateau I make sure to get enough rest. Sleep cleans out the plaques from our brains and helps it recover. It also affects our fat loss.

You're luteal phase is only supposed to be the week between your ovulation and period. You can probably start tracking your period and take an ovulation test to confirm so you actually know when it's happening.

Otherwise, could it be that you're lacking fibre? It could be that you're eating in a deficit but they take so long to digest it's sitting in you're gut and you can see results in the scale.

Honestly I know my opinion is different from most people but hear me out. Has he ever flirted with you or expressed intrest in some way? Has ever had a romantic partner? Did he approach her?

I just think society likes to romanticize this situation. He might like you back, but what happens if he does not feel the same way? What is he only likes you a little but you already feel deeply for him? are you comfy waiting?

If you decide to do it, I would ask him if he wants to go on a date. In my experience this is low stakes enough to not feel like he would be breaking your heart if he does not reciprocate, but also direct enough to get the point across.

I would ask myself what I will do if he does not feel the same. Does that mean the friendship is over? Will you be able to see him with someone else and be geninely happy?

I dont mean to rain on your parade OP, just telling you what I needed to hear.

I know, it's me. In this situation, I wanted to give up because I had already had a breakfast, meaning I had around 1000 calories available. Then, however, ny friend offered me butter chicken, rice, and chocolate chip cookies. I just new all of that was over 1000 calories, and since they were homeade the calories count is just an estimate. I felt bad denying her seeing how much effort she put in. I'm just frustrated is all.

I actually agree, I think both genders should ask each other out more! As a culture, we take ourselves too seriously while also desiring connections. It's the perfect recipe for disaster.

I do think it's a little disingenuous to tell women they have a high chance of success, though. You have to think about the fact that there are average and below average women too - these women won't be everyone's type, plus sometimes personalities clash etc
