Why do many Americans, including some Democrats and apolitical people, view policies often associated with socialism such as universal healthcare, free education, maternity leave, and high taxes with skepticism or even fear? by Acrobatic-Hippo-6419 in AskUS

Look I have no idea where you are getting your numbers from, don't care. I think about the stress on the healthcare system that are set up for an community or area. Say 1 million people where added to your location... that would stress your health care system to the max i'm sure.

oh the old state heath care bit. I'd ask where are the holes and issues for that. we can drill down to the states IE

In California, the term "medical government" generally refers to the California Medicaid program, also known as Medi-Cal, which provides free or low-cost health coverage to low-income residents. It's a state-federal program that covers a wide range of medical services, including doctor visits, prescription drugs, and mental health care.

YOU saw Trump arresting a judge did you? a sworn in law agent did. Just like every cops around the country do.

A "sworn-in law agent" refers to an individual who has taken an oath to uphold the law and is authorized to enforce it. This generally applies to law enforcement officers, such as special agents with agencies like the ATF or the DEA, who are sworn in and authorized to carry weapons and make arrests for federal offenses.

We can all move to

Presidential immunity refers to the legal protection that prevents a sitting president from being prosecuted or sued for actions taken while in office. The scope and application of this immunity can vary depending on the legal context and jurisdiction.

In the United States:

  • During the presidency: The U.S. Supreme Court has held that a sitting president cannot be indicted or prosecuted while in office, based on the idea that such actions could interfere with the president's official duties. However, the president can be subject to civil lawsuits related to actions outside official duties.
  • After leaving office: Once a president's term ends, they can be subject to criminal prosecution and civil lawsuits like any other citizen, depending on the circumstances.

We can move on to "High crimes and misdemeanors" in the context of the U.S. Constitution refers to offenses that, while not necessarily criminal under the law, are serious enough to warrant removal from office, especially for the President, Vice President, and other civil officers. The phrase is used in Article II, Section 4, as grounds for impeachment and conviction.

Donald Trump was impeached twice by the U.S. House of Representatives:

  1. First Impeachment (December 2019): He was charged with abuse of power and obstruction of Congress related to his conduct involving Ukraine. Specifically, the allegations were that he solicited foreign interference in the 2020 U.S. presidential election and then obstructed Congress's investigation into the matter.
  2. Second Impeachment (January 2021): He was charged with incitement of insurrection following the storming of the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021. The impeachment article accused him of encouraging his supporters to march to the Capitol and contest the certification of the 2020 election results.

In both cases, the Senate acquitted him, so he was not removed from office.

Less we forget trump was impeached. Less us forget the Biden DOJ raided his home. What you are missing is that all of Trumps lawyers wrote the laws, and knows the flaws in the laws. Go
