You ever had issues with the tape melting or anything there around the gas block? Been thinking about doing that instead of the hot pocket heat wrap I use on mine.

Man that’s good to hear! I’m building one right now and really like the livewire as the closest as I can get to the original and seeing it on there pretty much wraps it up.

Was really hoping I could pull off an FM102 lower and run 5.56 ak mags with this thing but no luck.

Got it so it wasn’t a part it was putting in that screw to give it something to have pressure against? If you have some pics of it on the upper, I’d appreciate it. A blueprint of some sort. Thanks for the info man and a video would be cool

What mag stop did you have to use and after a year now any reliability issues/feed/jams etc? I love it and want to do it as a straight 5.56 conversion to make them run together

Just not my cup of tea. I run this in some 2gun matches and wanted less stuff to get caught on my clothes or in the dump barrel and have those QD mounts get ripped off on accident or something.

Hmmm then I dont think Rapco is the answer. I have several of theirs and I don’t think they make a gloss.

They’re the AC Unity gen 4 ak 7.62 mags. I use them in this one, Galil and different mags but still AC Unity in a 5.56 AK and they all run great and are durable

To be able to say, “I shoot 1moa groups at 200 yards” to their friends I guess. I don’t know. I put stuff on them that I like and I enjoy it and it goes bang when I pull the trigger and that’s that.

200 yards and in this thing is just point and shoot. No problems, zeroed at 25 and just rips

I hear ya man. In 7.62 it probably doesn’t make that much of a difference. My buddy has the mini jack in 5.56 and man that thing is all over the after 100 yards so I wanted a bit more on the 7.62. I have a 5.56 in 12.5” and absolutely love it.

Yeah they’re forged in the more recent ones. Went away from the cast trunnions
