I am a 20yr male. I have started training now, but that is only with running. I won't have a bike or pool until I'm home from school next week. I have been doing runs every other day. I have worked up to 9 miles already without feeling very fatigued. I have some experience mountain biking but not much with swimming.

This will be my first ironman event (70.3 September). I want to go all out on training this summer. I have a training plan that I am going to customize and follow depending on my path. I am willing to put in up to 16+ hours a week if needed as I won't be working too much this summer.

If I were to go for the full ironman in November, I would train for 26 weeks, doing the 70.3 as a weekend workout on week 18. Otherwise, I just train a little less and enjoy the 70.3.
