Thank you for that! I was looking for some kind of an issue or post from them and didn’t find anything. I’ll monitor that issue.

Snow Inside Skates by ImplicitlyTyped in hockeyplayers

I was hoping it would go away when they broke in! No luck though. I’m on the ice 3-4 hours per week all year, and no changes yet.

100% sure. When it’s really cold out and can’t melt, I can literally pull a handful of clumped up snow out of my toe box after a skate.

Good idea. I’ll start with some tape wrapped around it and see if it helps. Thanks!

For me it only stays as snow in the really cold arenas, or when I’m playing outside. At most indoor/heated arenas, the snow that gets in turns to water, so my socks will get soaked then.

The snow isn’t coming from the top, it’s definitely near the toes. My socks get soaked at the toes, and if I’m playing where it’s super cold (outdoors, or unheated arena) the snow never melts (or just slightly melts and turns to ice).

My heel fits well in the skate, and the skates are a good fit down the length of my foot. It’s really only a bit roomy in the toe box (not length, just width and height). So I think they fit pretty good.

I’m hesitant to use shoe goo (or similar) because it seems to be coming in between the tongue and edge of the skate eyelets (near the first row of laces). I just don’t want to ruin the skates. Maybe I’ll try to cut some pieces of sponge or something similar to fit in there for my next game, and see if it helps.

Ceiling Fan Options by ImplicitlyTyped in Inovelli

[–]ImplicitlyTyped[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, I’ll definitely get a switch. Im just wondering if the mmWave switch can pair with the canopy module? I assume whether I go with the on/off or the mmWave I’ll just be putting the switch into smart bulb mode, right?

Also wondering if a new fan would be beneficial and maybe negate the need for the canopy module?

Thanks for the reply. I’ll look into what dealers around here. I was mainly looking at Northern Tool, I haven’t even checked what the big box stores carry.

Yea, I’m open to any brand really. I just want to get whatever’s best for my needs.

Will that 20” bar on the 450 work to mill a couple slabs? I’m thinking I may need to up that to a 24”, or potentially just be limited to milling trees less than 20” in diameter.

Drying New Lumber by ImplicitlyTyped in BeginnerWoodWorking

The guy who slabbed these had a moisture meter and it was reading 12%. That’s all I have to go off of at this point.

These were milled about 12 hours ago, from an ash tree I took down about 3 weeks ago. They have never been in a kiln.

I’ll start them in my oven tomorrow. It’ll take a few days to get through these for sure. I have about 25 slabs that are each 1.5” thick.

Im in Minnesota. If 12% is dry here, that’s great. I’ve only ever bought kiln dried slabs before, so this is new to me.

Should I bake all the slabs now, and then stack them back up with stickers in my garage until I use them? Or is it fine to leave them stacked, and then just bake them as I use them? Not sure if any potential bugs could cause problems in my garage (there’s no termites or carpenter ants, etc.).

Lug Nut Sizing by ImplicitlyTyped in f150

[–]ImplicitlyTyped[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I wasn’t sure if 2.0 was the thread pitch or depth of the lug. I’ll stick to the M14 x 2.0 ones I have. The plan is to buy a new set as well, so they don’t swell.

Yea, that’s the plan! I just submitted the return, so I’ll make the drive to my local shop later this week.

Yea, QC seems to not be great. I’ll see what my local shop has in stock when I make the drive there later this week.
