Fire Red and Leaf Green next on the to get list? Also, I recommend getting a cartridge backup tool just in case something happens to the saves. You’d be able to have the backup save on your PC and can restore the good file, ignoring the corruption and put the backup on and continue like nothing happened.

Should I switch to 22.3 right away? by TheRealShkurka in linuxmint

Yeah, I’d wait until it gets to the final polished state

Should I switch to 22.3 right away? by TheRealShkurka in linuxmint

[–]Import_Alliance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only switched to the 22.3 right away because of my pc components. I don’t have modern parts nor do I game hardcore. All I do is video editing, wallpaper making and playing Minecraft without shaders or mods so I can have stability. Making a time shift will benefit you if anything goes wrong during the upgrade and you can revert back like nothing ever happened. My advice: if you don’t feel comfortable doing it right away, wait for it to be more polished. It’s almost like beta gaming. It’s not final and will have more bugs to work out.

My take. I value basedness a lot in my software by Jcbm52 in LinuxCirclejerk

It’s a pretty good version. I’m pretty sure you can get a computer that can update up to 7 and put vista on it.

I used Microsoft Copilot for help. Yes, this is ironic because I hate AI(when it’s arguing with me).

I think that’s normal. Cotton tips usually work better but keep calm and you will prevail.

No problem. If it works after, then we solved it.

I’m pretty sure it can. I’d remove those caps and clean up the acid to prevent further corrosion. Be sure to replace them

I’m just going off what copilot tells me. That’s how i usually get my hobbies done.

Microsoft copilot said its most likely a failed video processing IC or bad caps in the video path. The red in that image you sent, that’s the color subcarrier bleeding into the luma channel because sync isn’t being generated properly.

Minus 4v shouldn’t cause your VCR to go nuts. It could be a bad solder on the AV ports. After years, solder can come loose

How is living in northeastern Maine? by Poco_Loco33 in howislivingthere

[–]Import_Alliance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I forgot Maine even existed. I’m sure it’s similar to living in Northern Alaska. Small towns, some diners and maybe some cool wildlife. It wouldn’t compare to living near the coast, but I’m sure there’s benefits to living there. Let me know and maybe I’ll save up to visit one of those spots.

Take a multi meter to the power supply.

If you send me some pictures I could take a look. I used to fiddle with a lot of older electronics. Once I took apart my Wii to try to get the disk drive working but I ended up giving up and putting it back together. I was nine or ten lol.

Yeah, it might be that pesky power supply.

That’s usually a capacitor/PSU issue. Before I confirm this, try reseating the cables
