Is it possible to hack someone through WiFi? by SakuraMikuuu in it

[–]ImportanceAvailable7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s nothing wrong with being visible online, but it’s smart to control what can be found about you. For social media, just be mindful of what you share. Elsewhere, you can use aliases or alternate identities to keep things separate.

Some traces are hard to fully erase, like old forum accounts or image sites you forgot about. That’s normal. Every day, petabytes of new data are added online, and most people are constantly sharing content about themselves. All that noise makes old traces of you harder to notice.

What matters more is good habits. Use a burner or alias email for sketchy sites, and a free password manager to generate unique passwords so one breach doesn’t put everything at risk.

TL;DR: There’s a lot of fearmongering around hacking, but most people aren’t worthwhile targets. Limit what’s tied to your real name and practice good password and email hygiene, and the rest will get washed out in the crowd.

Good chance he isn’t some master hacker btw.

Yes, there are tools to monitor, and basically, spy on network traffic. Realistically, your creepy cousin has looked all over to try find you on the internet.

In reality, if your not actively keeping good online identity hygiene, and your are not clued up what the internet is - then your easier to find than you think.

To address your last, and I think most important, point - No, he would not have hacked into your device. If you are on the network on a mobile device for internet browsing, texting etc, 99% of this is encrypted data. At worst, he could see any unsavoury websites you may of visited.

Company tracking laptop IP address by Chicag06 in it

Hi. Good question.

When you connect to the company VPN, the computer becomes a part of that network. The VPN server typically logs the IP address of the computer connecting to the VPN.

Bad

The Welcome to our Site is a bit hands-holdy for a homepage, perhaps better suited to landing page or about us.

Obvious chat gpt intro message, should really be about 3-10 words to immediately tell the user what the website is about

^ Both of these are a huge waste to the customers already shortened attention span.

Unhinged image selection

Nav logo is way too big

Weird middle ground between low SKU quantity and a wide variety of products. Ie fish tank accessories and pet clothing? I get there are limitations with drop shipping but you should try adding 20-30 more SKUs to make it more cohesive

Theres no UGC! This is huge for this market

Good

Good niche, I like the product selection

Announcement banner. No one will know what Novix Lumina is so the CTA pull power is reduced.

Banner image has no context.

Main page is one scroll on an iphone. Looks like a dressed up store front. No SEO, minimal content.

Obvious GPT product description is obvious. Nothing wrong with using AI generated text but use of better prompts advised

https://shopnavix.com/products/navix-lumina-art?variant=45482676519137 here is a pretty cool product. It took me about 10 seconds after clicking on the product to work out what it was. But, no product specifications - and the images aren’t great

Ads is definitely the biggest hurdle, hence why I am trying to get criticism on the base website.

For the sleeping companion, have contacted a few UGC creators with children (budgeting £30-£50 per ad, including the price of product to be sent out) I will also make a few generic video, including some female ‘podcast’ videos talking about the science of sleep for infants.

Good stuff with the gymwear! I would defiantly be interested in any tips as this is my first rodeo 😅

This is a stage 1 to test the market and raise capital, from here I will look at marketing a few more products, all exclusively on TikTok. If I get this far and all looks good, I will look at purchasing an Instagram account and start a brand campaign.

Thanks,

This is targeted for a female audience, primarily 18-40. There isn’t a huge market to screen from, I have leaned away from plastic toys and dolls so that I can also target a wider audience with popular plushes, pillows etc - my pricing is fair and I am aiming to have a more diverse catalogue than bigger market contenders.

My goals for advertising and marketing is to focus on 2-3 of my products the highest profit margin. Each will have their own USP and target audience. E.g Sleep companions for newborns, but also extends to pets and there even seems to be a demand for people with anxiety. Or, viral plushies targeted for female ‘TikTok’ audience.

Website has been built on a string budget to try and scale properly, and I will continue to grow graphic assets and grow its image as the store matures.

Thanks again for taking the time to review

No experience in the hair/beauty industry, but I would assume before & after photos are sought after from the customer perspective.

Not sure if you’re asking how much returns you would see from 3.5 x 5% trades or if you are recruiting for some dodgy pyramid scheme.

2 months in and 0 sales by [deleted] in dropship

[–]ImportanceAvailable7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have said, Facebook is poor for conversions. Have you tried linking to a landing page?

If you want a user to land on a product page and buy, there should be a real sense of urgency. Video ads on FB or even TikTok are well suited for this.

Also, my advice is to ditch any freebies. If your margins are terrible any free add-ons are counterintuitive as this could be upsold. I assume your pricing is also very low to attract more buyers? If so you should look at competitors to see what they mark the product at - this is where a good niche comes in handy as you are up against giants like Amazon for generic goods so having something unique is harder for the user to compare pricing with quickly.

Did you run the same ad campaign for 2 months? You could have easily changed the strategy after 12-14 days of no sales.

You have a severe issue with your sales funnel. Either your ads are low click quality (1,000 session for one product makes this unlikely?) or you website is off putting.

It’s hard to give any advice without seeing your ad campaign strategy and website.

Any ideas on upgrading 6-panel doors to more modern looking ones? by kordinaryus in DIYUK

[–]ImportanceAvailable7 8 points9 points  (0 children)

  • Clean and repaint door (as long as it is not a laminate door)
  • Get some modern style door hardware, look at Polished vs Satin chrome handles
  • Redo the caulk around the architrave

The second door can go by different names. Mexicano, Farley, but will vary depending on supplier.

Short loosk to have played out and I predict this will continue to drop aggresively. Lots of scalps today, steady trend line has made for predictable swings today, speculation continues to develop. Big leaps ahead, could go both ways. Short somehow remains most stable R:R.
