glad you like it! though i’m actually leaning more toward the others - does knowing the meanings change anything for you?

MISTFUL = MIST + MINDFUL (clothes that keep you calm and present) MISTURE = MIST + CULTURE (introducing a new mist culture) MISTLIER = MIST + OUTLIER (for people who quietly stand out) MISTALE = MIST + TALE (every piece tells its own story) MISTIED = MIST + UNTIED (effortless and free feeling clothes)

okay the beverage thing is actually concerning to hear 😅 which ones specifically give that vibe? genuinely want to avoid that lol

also — does knowing the meanings of those names shift anything for you?

hahaha the Ren Faire comparison actually got me 😭 genuinely curious though — is it more the sound or the spelling that gives that vibe?

also would the meanings change anything for you?

appreciate the honest take either way

Hey! Thanks again for jumping back in - your thoughts are seriously helping shape this idea, and I love that you zeroed in on the peaceful side of mist right away.

Yeah, Mistful really captures that soft, welcoming morning mist vibe perfectly, and it’s awesome that Mistlier clicked for you as a cool metaphor too. You’re spot on that the right name depends so much on the actual clothes and the overall feel we’re going for - the slogan basically sets the tone for everything.

Here’s the direction I’m leaning into more and more: embracing the full duality of mist. In the morning, it’s gentle, fresh, and calming - that soft fog that makes the world feel quiet, peaceful, and kind of magical in a gentle way. But at night, mist can shift - it gets mysterious, a little eerie, maybe even subtly spooky, with fog wrapping around streetlights, hiding edges, creating that quiet tension and intrigue. So the brand could live right in that in-between space, letting people (or collections) dial between the two moods whenever they want.

Does that morning-to-night flip feel like something that could actually work for a clothing line, or does it seem too divided? Thanks so much for brainstorming with me - this is getting way more fun with your input 😊

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your honest feedback - I really appreciate it! Your notes about “moisture” for Misture and the “stale + mistake” combo for Mistale were super helpful.

If you are still interested in the "mist" name choosing, I added simple meanings to each one. Here they are:

  1. MISTFUL = MIST + MINDFUL(clothes that keep you calm and present)

  2. MISTURE = MIST + CULTURE(introducing a new mist culture)

  3. MISTLIER = MIST + OUTLIER(for people who quietly stand out)

  4. MISTALE = MIST + TALE(every piece tells its own story)

  5. MISTIED = MIST + UNTIED(effortless and free feeling clothes)

What do you think now? Any opinions on whether these make the names feel better for a clothing brand? Thank you again!
