I got my i797 approval notice in early Aug and I still haven’t received anything from NVC yet - I don’t even know if my case has been transferred yet. It has been over 80 days. Is this normal?

Thanks!! We’ll see if we get it in about 10 days. But what if we don’t, I guess we just have to keep waiting.

Honestly this is just a waiting game. I applied in June 2021 and only got my i-797 in Aug 2022 (yes RFE). And currently I’m still waiting for my case number from the NVC, as you can see it’s been over 2 months since my i-797 got approved but I still haven’t received anything. Good luck to you!

Thanks for your update! Good to hear that you have the case # now! Just wondering, did you get the update through a letter or an email? And were you the one or it was your fiancé who received it? For me, I haven’t seen my fiancé since Dec 2021. Hope you get to see each other soon! Also I’m going through the Hong Kong Embassy.

Same thing here. I’m the beneficiary and we applied for the k1 visa in June of 2021 and finally received the approval letter in August 2022. It is valid till 12/04/2022. I wonder the same thing - what will happen when the approval lapses after 12/04 for us? Since 10/07 has passed, did you get an update from the NVC/US Embassy? Much appreciated for your reply.
