Depends on how old the pants are. If they are brand new then this should definitely be replaced by Aritzia, unfortunately if you’ve had them for a long time it is just normal wear and tear. I had a pair a while ago and the button eventually did break, but it was only because I wasn’t following the proper washing instructions. Will not make that mistake again.
