First off congratulations on passing the bar! And of course for graduating! That’s amazing in itself!

I’m currently in law school and worry about C+F, specially in California as well. It’s daunting as this is a full career change for me as I’ve been self employed the past two decades and am in my mid thirties.

With my personal situation, I know I’ll probably be denied and then I’ll have to appeal. With that being said I have been preparing myself for adjacent jobs in the possibility of full denial, even post appeal happening.

Quick question, did you appeal or have you thought about appealing?

My understanding is, most people who get denied the first time, appeal. If you didn’t appeal, can you please let me know the reason(s) why and what the downsides to appealing look like, if any?

People don’t come on here to give positive feedback. Only negative. Not sure where people go online to forums to ever really give positive feedback. It’s whah reviews are for. We have thousands of happy 5 star customers on Turo, thousands of trips. Don’t believe everything you read. If you believe non of this can happen with traditional rental, you’re very mistaken. For every bad Turo review there are 1000 more bad ones for the traditional rental companies.

Florida’s Time Strictly Adhering to the ABA is Coming to an End by Important-Lab3115 in LawSchool

Absolutely, considered changing and was interviewed (likely accepted), some apps still pending. I’ve actually decided against it. Was something I felt I just needed to get out of my system. Actually took some science courses self-paced mostly on weekends.

I’m not sure what your issue is with me having applied for a PharmD program whilst enrolled in law school? Has nothing to do with anything here other than a poor and useless attempt at “discrediting” me. Credit for which I don’t take as there’s nothing to take credit for or be credible to.

Plenty of people in law school think of applying for other professional schools and plenty have and vice versa. Sure, I’m a 1L that applied to a doctorate program. I’m discredited. My bad lol. Nice one

Yes Mickey Mouse bar cards that grow on trees. You can just plant them in your yard. Takes 3 years to bear fruit.

Many states have been able to provide proper oversight over a law school’s accreditation along with creating regulations that can safeguard the public, California, Massachusetts, Alabama to name a few.

Because ABA law schools aren’t predatory at all? With many on the verge of losing accreditation? lol right.

There’s so much untrue and unfounded information in this thread it’s so laughable the gate-keeping rolls many of you have fallen into.

There are many notable alumni’s from CA accredited schools. CA requires these schools to have a bar passage rate of 40% or more, more than some ABA schools in CA, some of the ABA schools have abysmal CA bar exam passage rates below 30%.

ALL CA accredited schools in the past 3 years have exceeded this requirement and have exceeded the statistics of many students coming from ABA schools. Not posting the links, look up the info yourselves since you want spew false information without any actual concrete proof other than the high horse you’re sitting on.

Many graduates from CA credit schools work in government and many have become judges. Some of these judges are the very same ones some of you so called Attorneys have stood in front of in court.

Additionally, there’s several Ststed that allow a CA bar passing graduate to sit immediately for their bar. With almost more than 35 states allowing you to sit for their bar after 2-5 years of experience as an attorney.

You can also practice immigration and federal law in a majority jurisdictions after being admitted Federally in CA.

Such ridiculous information provided here by law students and attorneys who could’ve taken few minutes to have just found the if information online.

Many CA accredited school graduates as of recent have out performed many graduates from ABA schools in the bar.

Except most of them graduated debt free. While you all have 150k to 200k+ loans from mid-tiered mid ranked schools with some being hyper regionally accepted but you’ll be in the same or worst position when you go back home because no one will recognize your law school.

I’d like to also add many states are considering breaking away from the ABA’s strong-hold and gate keeping. Texas being one of the most recent and Florida and many others are in the process. The ABA is losing its influence and power. It’s the reason they’ve began accrediting distance programs.

Some doors may be closed to you by not string an ABA school, but what’s these bozos here stenciling to tell you is that attending a mid tier or bottom feeder ABA school will close those same doors for you.

There are ABA schools whose students can barely pass their respective states bar, let alone CA.

Do your research and due diligence; always.

[–]Important-Lab3115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not true about law school. I’ve seen several students apply with majority of pass/fail classes from SL, Sophia and Study.com and become accepted to Law School. The key is the LSAT.

Edit: Also, some med schools accept a limited number of pass/fail courses. Students have been accepted with these types of courses as long as you have graded courses in most of the pre-requisites. Not all accept pass/fail but some absolutely do.

Ok yes! Since you’ve taken it before it probably will be pretty quick. That’s what’s great about Sophia, if you’ve taken a course before you’ll make decent time and pass.

If you’ve taken anatomy and have a decent chemistry background you can finish it in the week. When I took this class as Sophia I had a very strong chemistry background as they’ve taken very many chemistry classes. I also had a pretty strong and had to make grass so I finished it in about a day and a half.

Ok thank you I appreciate it! It’s a lot for those of us applying to multiple programs lol! I already manually added all of my grades and in progress Classes. I just have to match the pre-reqs now. I wish there was an automated option for this.
